Scouting now and spotted a fawn laying 200 yards away at the base of a white oak. You have to look hard in the picture to see it. After you spot the raised ears you’ve found her. This iPhone 7 Plus did all it could do, it’s zoomed in all the way lol

How do y'all have fawns this time of year? I dunno that I have seen a fawn in October (not many if I have) much less 2 months later... All the yearlins here have long lost their spots and have gotten kicked out from momma for the most part since rut has kicked in

A fawn here has spots and fawns ("spotted fawns" is the only time I have ever heard anyone say fawn) aren't legal to shoot because of said spots... Everything else is fair game as long as doe season is in ha ha

I haven’t seen many this time of year, but our rut really peaks the 1st of January here, carrying over into February.

I could’ve easily shot the momma doe, but after I spotted the baby I had a change of heart about the situation. I never have liked to knowingly leave a baby to fend for themselves. Don’t hold me to this but I think the twin was on the back side of the white oak. I’ve seen them out and about a couple weeks ago playing with a fox.

Basically same here. Spots are a pass/not legal to shoot here.
I do that in the early part of the season, but towards late season I'll take the mature Doe, this years "fawns" group up with the other deer around if their momma gets killed and make it just fine.

sent in our old range finder to see what it would cost to repair. I just get a service repair estimate...$285! WTH!! I can get a new one for $300-350 twice as good as the old one!
