    i think we may have gotten a confirmed case last year. we were the last state in the south east it seems like, they wouldn't allow any bones to cross state lines; if you killed a deer in another state you needed it processed in the state it was killed and mounted if need be in that state as well. its only a matter of time though i suppose

    bow season opened up a week ago, muzzleloader/air rifle starts on 11-18 (i dont own either) and gun season opens 11-23 so i got 32 days to wait...

    We can't even use doe pee/estrus/etc from any animal out of state. Bought some synthetic for when the rut comes in.

    It’s actually EHD or blue tongue that we were dealing with, it seems to be over now. There are some counties in northern Illinois where CWD has been detected. That’s why we can’t put any kind of bait or minerals out at any time of the year.

    I always said work gets in the way of important stuff....

    For sure . Guess I will start using my I phone also . One of my stands is about a 25 minute walk uphill (steep) thats were I have pictures of 2 shooters between 7 and 745 . Got to be in that stand no later than 6

    Had a spike and squirrel spook a decent 8 point yesterday morning. He was skittish already. Just quit raining and a squirrel jumped limbs, which jumped him. Then a spike ran toward him and scared him out of the shooting lane. Was hoping he’d come back, but never did.

    How old would you guys put this deer? Not the same deer from yesterday morning. Just curious.
