I am a western hunter. Don't have experience with that pack but I use a Eberlestock X2. Use it for all my hunts. Great as a day pack as well as a first trip out meat hauler. As long as it holds enough water and gear and not too heavy it should work fine!

It holds 3L and is a meathauler. It also only cost $150

Ironically, I was fortunate enough to have harvested my best WT buck in my home state of NJ. It made Pope and Young, which Jersey bucks seldomly (live to) do. I now live in Hawaii, pigs, goats, turkey and wild/mad cow on my Island. Sticking one isn't my thing..One day I'll find time to Island hop and hunt Axis deer..Miss the hardwoods.

Yeah mine holds 6l (3l in each flap) however I only carry 3 and I drink it all - I'd carry more water but it's heavy! I got mine for $100 on Amazon about 3 years ago. It was hard finding a pack that fits me since I am only 5 7 and small frame. A womens pack would probably fit me best since this one is tightened as far as it can go.

I use this one as first load hauler to go get my pack frame from the truck. Holds it pretty well but not as well as a full frame.

As long as it is comfortable should be good to go with it!

My first haul this year was the head, back leg, and backstraps and tenders. Haul with the frame was two fronts, other back leg, and grind meat

My old coworker gave me his pack frame from Cabelas (might be as old as me) worked fine. It was amazing how much more weight I could carry with the big frame rather than my pack (my pack has a little internal frame). Doesn't have to be fancy since you wont be wearing it all the time!

But since yours is a meat hauler you should be fine!

I'd like to have one of those as well. I ask for a pistol for Christmas but have heard no more mention of it and I'm the only one who has a permit in the family
