Mule deer taste much different than Whiteys, especially high mountain mule deer where all they eat is sage brush and other shrubs.

Ooh! Guns and hunting! I'm glad to see this sub-forum.

One of my baby bucks from this past season. Neck shot with a suppressed 300blk SBR.

Ours is a draw. But its pretty much 50% odds for the whole eastern part of the state.

Plan on applying for multiple tags this year. Special permit elk in an area where my neighbors dad has a significant sized ranch. Bison just outside of yellowstone. Heard its pretty easy too call up some ranches that border the park because they want the bison gone. Moose, no particular district, and if I drew I'd probably eat the tag just cause I don't know enough. Might try for a bighorn sheep tag and buy a point for Mtn Goat.

Hey :hattip:just did what i hate to do. just up from the house a high school boy hit a deer with his truck. kid was real polite but had no idea what to do. im like look at ur truck if its damaged we will call sheriff. if not ill give you the wardens # to get a tag for the deer. it was still alive and he asked if i had a gun. yup but landowner is a prick. ill cut it so it doesnt suffer. got my knife and told him to hold the horns and ill straddle its shoulder an cut it. nope , deer had died while i got my knife so gave him my # and to call if warden gives him shit. actually felt good. kid was real grateful and you could tell he had no idea what to do. told him to skin it soon and get meat on ice as its 60* here. 948E581B-36A9-48F1-A2EA-38E6972361E6.jpg

I've been fortunate to the tune of three deer that were struck by vehicles and all three were fit to keep. I know they all aren't.

If the weather holds out, I plan to try to snipe a hog tonight. If I'm successful, I'll be sure to grab a pic.

In the last 10 years we’ve had 5-7 hit in our front yard. I leave them for the state to pick up :D

Just had 2 more windows show up for the blind project. That makes 5, should be plenty.
