I'm also late to this party... but last season was my first bow season.....and my first time getting a deer (Doe),
before that I had only hunted rifle/shotgun season a couple times a season and duck and pheasant hunted.

Now I'm all in, 20" hawk sticks with 1 step aiders and a hawk platform. Adjusting tactics to new and old areas with hopes of increased tag punches.

love it. beat so much pressure. last season I let 4 deer walk before shooting my doe, all were does or doe with yearlings. finally had a mature doe alone and took her.... then against my better judgement gave that stand a break... had nice 6 pointer the next two days on cam. that was just the first week!

I'm still using my buddies bow, bowtech allegance(sp?) he bought a new elite last season and isnt sure if he likes it... so he is contemplating selling me his elite... or allegence. both shoot plenty nice imo

Managed to refrain from eating a whole tenderloin till now. Its thawed and I'm gonna lay it open and put some bacon, jalapeno, and mushrooms inside and give her a good sear tomorrow night for the 4th eve
