That Illinois tag ain't no joke! When I started hunting there it was $120 for 2 either sex tags and one antlerless, not anymore!
    But so worth it

The secret sauce is that it might be a once in a lifetime deal. So it's a couple of sheckles over the price of the license. Type of place where they make your sandwiches for you, make sure your TP is triple ply, and drag the deer out. Down side is that he's spending my inheiritence! LOL, I'm going to be happier with the memories than a pile of money anyway.

Of course. We were out doing some final trimming/bush-hogging/field prep last weekend and didn't see anything. We've got pretty good trails cur through to where you'd see something if it's in the path. Always carry a sidearm to take care of things like that.

I used to hunt with some friends in Pinehurst, N.C. and was there after Christmas several years ago and pulled up on a large timber rattler, had 11 rattles on it. It had gotten up to 70* a couple days and he was laying in the sun. 3 1/2" buckshot from 8' away took care of him

I'm just ready for this Mosin to breathe fire again! In the off season, I was complacent in mounting the ATN scope to the .270 and getting it sighted in/creating a profile on it. So until that happens, I'll continue on w/ the Mosin. I think I took ~5 with it last year.

Hung my camera yesterday afternoon and this guys shows up this morning. Our 260acre farm just got logged in the spring and there’s shit everywhere. Luckily by my stand it’s relatively untouched. We’ve seen this guy the last two years but first time in camera. Might actually make it out for md’s early bow opener and endure the heat.

E2 or the center of B1/C1/B2/C2

depends on if it's a wall hanger or not.

With a bow...E3, although F3 would probably punch his heart out, but iffy.
