Trying to make an 8 year old sit still and be quiet for 2 1/2 hours was hard this morning, not sure what I was thinking that 4 1/2 would be easier this afternoon :anonymous:

Oh crap.boys still tell stories when we had the homeplace.I knew every rock and stump on the place.pulling the mountain in the dark, I would say( Turn that damn flashlight off). dont want others to see where going,so the story now is i was huffing the mountain while they tripped and fell all the way up.

Bring some hand held electric games or similar.
I know it’s not ideal but glassing and scanning and just sitting for some young hunters
    for hours is extremely difficult.

last chance I could get out and focus solely on bear. Brought the wife.... needless to say we came home early.

Found some Elk and a Muley Doe with some fawns! The Elk were bugling!! Got one to play back and forth with me and I think I was able to get him to come in a couple hundred yards from where he was.

After laying down some cow calls, playing with the elk, I gave a quick distress call and my and the wife both heard what appeared to be a bear grunt and then running and crashing under us. The woods were steep and we couldn’t see below. Was a trip thinking about how we were right there and we possibly had a bear right there and we didn’t even know. On to the next. Antelope
