I don't know what box has them rated as, but I get +8hrs out of these bad boys. Size of a cell phone (blackberry), have used them to start a fire when I got snowed in at one point.

They can work off normal camp fuels, Zippo fluid, most combustable fluids. So not having to worry about 1 more thing that needs battery's is noice!

I see them in my neighborhood daily. Even an albino at the church on sundays occasionally. One was hit by a vehicle a few days ago. Still, urban archery, ummmm.

Saw several in the snow the other day. Of course, our season has been over for a month now. Saw one dead on the side of the road today, too :(

Georgia Outdoor News (GON) asked readers to send in comments about how their season was. The majority of the readers said "Poor" or "Fair", and no one is seeing any deer. The ones they are seeing are small. They started increasing Doe Days several years ago, and every year, the hunting gets worse and worse. I was shocked to see so many people write in and say they need to change the limits (2 bucks, 1 with 4 points or more on one side, 10 does) and lessen the Doe Days. I honestly wish they would just cancel the season for about 2 years altogether.

I'm urban bow hunting..i was seeing deer regularly before the hurricane, havent seen much since then.

Its amazing the little pockets of woods that hold deer, that I can hunt legally.

HOLY FUCK 10 DOES!! our limit up here is 4!! i can see the point restrictions to a certain standpoint, but then again i hate them. I once was younger and every single deer i killed made me jump with joy. I know MANY that are just as happy with a spike as with a big 8. just think about maybe one day when you have kids etc and they want to go hunting but they had restrictions and had no luck? probably wont hook em to hunting as well as it would if they didnt have restrictions. i always hate when this discussion comes up because i see both sides of the fence. we try to manage our farm and the neighbors do too, to a certain extent. but i think everybody should be able to choose what they shoot. small or big. will i pass small bucks all season? yeah, unless it comes down to the last week, then im hammerin down on anything brown. ;) it all tastes good

Yea, 10 does is ridiculous. I usually take 1, and I never take them after the middle of November, in case they came into heat early and are pregnant. I typically take the first buck I see, big or small (this year it was a spike), then hunt horns. If it's comin down to the last week or so of the season and I don't have anything yet, I'll take whatever walks out with horns if I can get a shot. I see the reasoning behind the point restriction, but I woudln't mind if they just said 2 bucks, period. I would still pass up on the small spikes and 4s, Probably wouldn't try to take anything smaller than a 6...unless, again, it was the last week of the season and I wanted more meat.

normally how we do it. its been paying off the past couple years after i got the whole family to do it with me. i cant believe they think 10 does is good? i really doubt the majority of hunter come close to 10, but then again i dunno. that just seems like a really high number. after the survey results you said you read i wouldnt be surprised if they decided to make some sort of change for the 13-14 season.

I wish they would. Basically all I saw this year were does and spikes. I only saw like 25 deer this season. 5 were spikes, one was a (I believe) 7, and the rest were does. I could have taken as many does as I wanted, but I let them all walk (missed one in muzzleloader season back in October...). 25 deer over a season is nothing. I didn't see a single one in December

What time are you going out in the AM?

I got home ~3am the other day, walked to the back of my house to be stood down by a Doe and her baby. got to within 10' of her before I even noticed. She was NOT intimidated by me in the least.

Here we can shoot as many does as we want. Which I hate. I personally don't shoot many does. I haven't killed a doe in years. Mainly because the guy that hunts the land next to ours shoots anything that walks. 2 years ago he killed 36 deer on that land. And came up to me at the end of the season askin how many I killed. I told him and he said well damn that's all? Well I killed 36. And then I said well damn no wonder I haven't seen any fuckin deer. I wish they would put a restriction on does here. I hate pecker heads like that who just shoot a deer just to shoot. And honestly what the hell would you even do with 36 deer? Nobody has a freezer that big except a processor

 Holy hot damn! That's outrageous. I always give away some of the meat I kill, but I still have plenty for me, even only killin 2 or 3 deer a year.
