Deer hunting BS thread

An old Matthews Classic with a carbon arrow and a Muzzy 3 blade 100 grain . Usually the ole Muzzy would have gone through I used to shoot 70 lbs now shooting 60 . Plus maybe I hit that thick part of the shoulder blade where it has that ridge

 

Scopes are still on from last year 3 guns, 1 shot each, 1 hole... 0 excuses... Poor Newman took 3 to the heart.

 

no one on here does either....but...shit happens, you know you tryd and did your best....

 

Just skinned one. oldest son shot a doe this evening just down the road.meat for the freezer

 

ive lost one with my Mathews mission bow 60lb and muzzy....same thing, loud pop, it flopped around...got ready to get out of the blind and see him run off uphill. Tracked him an easy 500+ yds last i saw he was bounding over a hill never to be seen by me again...i think i hit him right above the joint at the shoulder blade

Blind upgrades

 

Here's an old Remington I got a few years back. It was my Great Grandfathers. Rem Model 14 in .35 cal. I ran the serial number and it was manufactured in 1928.

Thanks, I completely stripped it down cleaned and lubed, YouTube is great. I could barely cycle it when I got it, now it's smooth and effortless to cycle. It's really accurate out to 75 yards with 200 grain Core lokts.

 

I have a Marlin 336A bulit in 1958 that I recently finished. It was my Dad's. That's a 30-30 with the microgroove barrel. I'll get pics soon.

 

I just bought a 336 about 10 days ago. Great gun.
