I've found a few boxes at the local no name gun store here in town but it's $14 a box

All that I have found local is fmj or match grade (which is $30 a box and probably won't preform well on soft tissue since it is designed to hit steel...) I have a few sp left over from last year currently in the mag...

    I've never needed .223 ammo until a couple months ago when I bought a Mini 14 :D

In a couple years in considering getting a 350 legend barrel and mag but the recoil is probably a little much for her right now... Heck she only wants to shoot the .223 once or twice because it "pushes back" lol

But .350 ammo is everywhere and pretty cheap for what it is $14-16 a box

In NW Mississippi some of the local pawn and gun stores are pretty stocked up still. Dicks still had a pretty good selection as well last time I went. You can probably find something closer but I bet you could get .223 in Columbus or west point MS.

I’ve got plenty of 223 ammo (Hornady Z-max), just sell me the Ruger and you’ll be good!

We got it to the property, stood it up, built a shelf to put the bipod on, and tomorrow we’ll go hunt.

Got it done tonight. Doe in the cooler. Wasn’t the best shot. Tracked blood for over 1/4 mile and found alive but not wanting to move. Put her out and had her on ice an hour later.

Not sure why dad didn’t load his rifle and keep an empty chamber at the truck but he decided to load his gun in the stand this morning and realized the box of ammo he grabbed in the truck was .270 not .308....
37 minutes to legal shoot time and he’s walking the 7-8 minutes round trip to get some .308.
While it’s not as cool as I was hoping it would be (mid 50’s) it’s good hunting weather, I can hear the dogs waiting to be let loose on the neighboring properties.

Ok. No problem. I have a couple that I came across still in packaging that I don't have a mini for.

Not quite as bad here but....also as light is coming on hard and fast - got climber up tree, into position, strapped harness in, pulled bow up and hang on hook. Sit down to enjoy the woods getting lighter....ah almost forgot release. Pull it out of my pocket and down it goes to the base of my tree landing in a pile of crunchy leaves!
