    Found this map of people with tracking dogs in North Carolina

    I had to get a guy earlier this season to recover a buck I made a liver/gut shot on. There is a big Facebook page for the Mississippi area and there may be the same for NC but I don’t know.

    I would really encourage you to atleast talk to one of those guys. If that deer is hit anywhere center mass I bet they have a dog that can find it. The guy that helped me out in Mississippi said they routinely recover leg shots as well which is really impressive to me.

    My deer l went after at 3 hours and jumped him and backed out. Got tracking dogs and went after him at 6 hours and they ran him down still alive.

    Here is where I found that map in a forum post and it also lists some info and contacts.

    I talked my boss into letting me go look for the deer for an hour. This is the blood where he went down. That’s it. Not a drop anywhere else that I can find. I also checked both creeks for several hundred yards all around, nothing. I’ll keep an eye out and hopefully he’s not dead and shows back up on camera.

    Wife saw a coyote Tuesday morning, couldn’t get him with her bow, to far. I hunted with my gun the next day and he popped out behind be running deer, didn’t have a shot. Hunted this morning, coyote ran by at 80yrds and I fucking missed. Only thing I saw this morning too.

    heading out tomorrow again. Hope I have better luck with the deer or redemption on the yote.
