Got 31 days left here. They are still making scrapes but everything on cam is 1.5 years. Had a 3.5 year old in cam right before gun season opened and he is no where to be found. This was a pic I got last year I wish would show up... But I only got two pics of him last year... So hopes are not high

So after having a few issues at the lease with a couple of feeders. I decided to go scouting for a new spot. I found a spot and put up some PVC feeders that I had built earlier in the season. I put up my trail cam and got this.

First pick is a bird in flight. Quite a nice catch I think.

I dunno march or late Feb I guess. Turkey season opens in April and I have only been a couple times but never saw an antler in April.

East central Mississippi they will drop in February usually but I have found a shed early January. I assume he was sick because rut is really starting to hit right now this year. Have seen a few little bucks cruising.

Had a good one at 30 yards the other day but I couldn’t tell what it was due to low light and brush. When he moved and I got a look at his antlers he went right behind a big tree and when I moved to try and get a shot I spooked him.

Seen a few does and spikes since then but no shooters for me since that one buck I missed my chance on.

Debating putting my cameras back out or just going without for the rest of the season. I like looking at the cams to see what is in the area but I don’t think they ever give an accurate showing of what is there and they usually just get your hopes up for nothing.

Also can’t decide if I want to go out tomorrow morning it is cold but only 2mph wind and I hate swirling winds going to check out a new area maybe.

I leave my cameras out year-round just for the interesting pics. I love seeing turkeys, coyotes, bobcats and all the other critters roaming around out there.

Too much to name for this little space
2 day gun season in Ohio sounded like a massacre. I counted 32 shots going off around me from 7-10am in my rural county. Definitely a ton more people trying to get their outdoors-man badge this year by taking spike bucks and young does
