    I was reflecting on all the deer I've lost over the years while we were looking for this one. It is a hard lesson to learn, no matter the age but if you hunt, it does happen unfortunately.

    That deer my daughter shot Saturday is fine. He broke part of his rack off somehow. There’s no way she shot it off the way he was facing when she pinched and us finding some blood.

    Could be fighting already. Thought the pic the other day had both antlers.
    Donkey kicking is low, usually heart but could/prob was brisket. Thats a tough area but still bleeds.

    If you are walking to your stand or blind (early morning) and you are close to your spot and you have a deer blow at you, do you say damn it and stay still for a few minutes and proceed with your hunt or do you say damn it and call it a day?
