    Nice!

I killed a little 5 point for some meat. Deer aren't moving around here at all. Soooooooo many acorns.

Thanks fellas. Yeah it seems like deer haven't been moving here till just recently. Usually between me and my dad we've already got 3 or 4 in the freezer by the beginning of October. Between us we've killed 5 deer in the last week though haha

My dad has yet to see a deer, and he's been hunting a couple days a week since bow opened in September. Another guy we hunt with saw his first one a couple weeks ago, and he's been basically every day since bow opened. I let a spike walk then decided to bust the 5 point.

Same problem here. Properties I hunt are loaded with oaks and the acorns are everywhere!!

Got in the stand nice and early this am. Hope to whack something today, it will make waking up early a little hungover worth it. Lol

The gf and I where going to carve pumpkins last night, but...

Filled my tag last evening! Doubled my furthest shot on a deer to 310 yards. Caught him bedded down in a field.

It's always a hurry-up-and-wait scenario this time of the year. Have to get applications in on time and the draw results seem to take longer and longer to be released. I'm still waiting to hear on South Dakota Black Hills and West River deer and on antelope. I did already get drawn for Wyoming antelope and cow elk. Busy summer though. Lots of camping and several shooting comps. Good luck to everyone on their draw results.

Y'all have to raffle for deer?! That sucks. We get to pop 9 does and 2 bucks each year here in GA! We do have to raffle for alligator, though. GA's few gators are in Savannah, and they don't dole out too many permits. I had a friend get drawn a few years ago and they killed a 9 footer:

Also, here's some pics off the trail camera since Jan (note the 3-legged deer in Feb & March:
