    I won't hunt without them anymore. Its .308. Been using it the last few years with great results. A lot less damage than the 300winmag I was using.

    Its a stud for a blacktail. They get bigger, but for this part of the state he's damn good. I only knew about him for the last half of season. No prior knowledge of him. Caught him behind a doe second to last day of season right before last light. Prior to that I had pics of him nightly.

    Fortunately he was really rutted up and stupid. First time he popped out of the woods it turned out I had forgot to load my gun. Fortunately he came back out a few minutes later even after the racket chambering a big frame AR makes.

    Gotta love city slickers. wifes family get together is tommorow. I called her uncle and told him to bring a small cooler and i would give him some deer bologna(he loves deer meat). he was heck yea great,got any tenderloin? Yea but not for you. He said he figured he knew me good enough to ask. told him i knew him good enough to tell him if he wants backstraps buy a damn hunting license.(his wife dont like shooting critters).we both laughed. BUT,he aint getting no prime cuts.me and him have butted heads over the years but i try to be nice as its in my best interest at my house.thats the redneck/city slicker conversation for the day:thumbsup:
