    Didn't read the previous posts.

I have read about scouting ahead of time. The last deer I got I did all that. The spot I picked was about a mile or two from the house. I got up in the wee hours and headed out, walking. Got to the spot about sunrise and sat down. A doe and buck came by. Shot the buck, gutted it out and headed for the house to get the truck. Iced it down in the tub. It was the best eating of all the deer I have eaten. I was raised on venison (my dad was an accomplished poacher).

Haven't tried sitting on a stand and waiting for one to come by. All my hunting has been walking and watching. Don't have a problem with sitting on a stand, but IMO that is not really hunting. I understand that there is no choice in populated areas.

I think its a personal choice for each of us! I only bowhunt, so I have ladder & lock on stands in great spots, plus I use a climber when I find a HOT area! At the end of the day it's all good and we can enjoy the memories and hopefully a freezer of venison!!

I don't often make burgers but I decided some people do and I might as well make a video on them. When I lived with my parents, we used to mix a half pack of Lipton beefy onion soup mix... I could only find the regular onion soup mix, but these were pretty killer. My 9 year old daughter, who probably averages eating 500-600 calories a day, ate a whole burger, and said it was better than a big Mac (not really a complement lol) and junior bacon cheese burger from Wendy's.
