    I’ve plenty of stories like this! My proudest is having a nice buck chasing does near Catawba Va. high on a ridge. 3 doe spin around when they spot me and take off. The buck freezes about 10 yards away with most of his vitals behind trees. I take a head shot… clean miss! I had been practicing with the gun at 200 yards and cranked the scope up to see the results. Prolly lobbed that 270 Weatherby Mag into Botetourt Co.

    a friend of mine got one north of Jena La. today! I always caught them rutting the first week of November as nearby as Toledo Bend. (Texas side). Never figured why the Delta deer went sooo much later ?

    Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
    Pulled a couple back straps out of the freezer, 2 years in a vacuum bag and they are still just fine... Dunno how.kuch longer I would press my puck though. I think that's all the 2021 meat I had left anyway. And yes I reverse seared them in a drew Berrymore air fryer... For video clicks

    So,knock one off my bucket list today,ran from a game warden. was getting my deer and helping Dalson make a order of snack sticks. looked out and said game warden pulling in. it was our friend who is senior warden in the area. was on duty.he was dropping off deer quarters for bologna. when he got out in full uniform i ran across the driveway and yelled run Dalson,Game Warden. stopped and put my hands up laughing my ass off. he almost went down on one knee he was laughing so hard. said i been looking for you,i knew you would run. we all had a good laugh:rofl::rofl:

    My first deer was taken just up the hill from Westvaco in Covington. Hunted all over between there, Roanoke, and even a little near Ronceverte WVa. I get back when I can!

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    Finally got one this season. 160#, so should be some decent meat back. Haven't sat a handful of times though and only have through Monday. Only other one was a doe my daughter shot earlier in the year.

    After thinking about it, should have had them do a euro mount. Now going to see if I can find someone local to do a crown/cap mount like someone was posting in here before.

    I’ve been taking my skulls skinning them & remove lower jaw then bury in garden until spring, they come out pretty darn clean! A bit of a power wash & a peroxide paste. I like the idea of worms getting a bonus meal to turbo boost my soil. I bury to rack & cover with 1/2 barrels or whatever.

    I thought it tasted fantastic, but then I had it beside a pile of sweet potatoes that had so much going that the steak almost got boring... But I managed just fine lol
