Hit my first Deer with my 2005 Dodge 2500 Ram 4x4 just before selling it. Moved the bumper a little. Busted out my 4 ft LED Light Bar. and left some hair. Hit it about 30 MPH knocked it a long way over a bank down a hill. Totaled the deer and killed it instantly. We brought the deer home and butchered it about 200 lbs and about 30-40 lbs of meat good. Loosened the bumper it went strait again. I hope I never hit one with my Toyota a lot of plastic up front and rear! If I find the pictures later I will post them. What I am saying is a good steel bumper helps!!

I hear that! I talked to a fella at the dump here with a 1990 d-250 that has hit three deer. You could not even tell.

The Rear Hitch Bumper idea I am thinking of would be like 2x4 Box Steel going to the chrome then going to 2x2 Box Steel to the end. Both Ends capped off. Behind the 2x2 Box a Mini Hitches Receivers bolted into the Hitches Frame Mounts to keep it from being pushed back on each side. They would have steel that goes into them also like the main Receiver in the middle. All this would slip in and out when needed and pinned in 3 places to keep it on. Here are pictures of the area to sorta show it where it would go. I need to mock it up with wood sprayed black first to see how it would look.

The OP's hood doesn't even look damaged. The wife and I have each hit a deer, mine wrote my Civic off.

Showed this post to my Wife and got a OK on putting this Bumper on her TRD! Had to go for the smaller one to keep her happy. She likes the look of the stock front end. I like it even better with this on it!

Wacked a deer once driving a 1987 Mack Econodyne with trailer and excavator on back. Was like hitting a pillow full of feathers. Had a nice solid steel full with bumper.:itllbuffout:
