i wanna see what you think of the toyo open country R/T as im thinking of the M/T for my next tire in 295/70/17's but weight saving and the amount i DD the truck i didnt really want a fully M/T.

I hear you on the DD part. The R/T's are about 10 lbs lighter per (on 35's at least). Some ways to get more life out of a mud terrain is to sipe them. This is great for highway driving but if you do more aggressive off-roading also it could possibly rip chunks out. I was considering having just the center of my M/T's siped.

Not bad, I really like the NV's. Do you have to remove the tire from the truck, air it out and then retorque, or can you just jack the tire up off the ground and retorque? Can't wait to see the new R/T's on your truck. I'll be due for new tires at the end of the year and I may consider these.

I have torque wrench that I keep in my TruckVault and I just retorque it whenever and wherever. No jacking up or removing needed.

I have an event scheduled for Sept 19-21, American Adventurist SoCal Mountain Rendezvous, and then a in Oregon Oct 3-5 and am hoping to get them on before these trips.

The time has come to think more about the interior...

Well in keeping with the "only the best" theme I will be adding some definite luxury for those highway miles PLUS adding a 3 level heated and cooled seat option for those winter and summer months! Turning this into the most comfortable luxury overland explorer.

What is it already I know I know... :D

::: click the logo to learn more :::

    My order:
    Two Tone Combo
Tuscany Midnight Leather & Perforated Raven Suedezkin
    Double Contrast Stitching
DefconBrix embroidered on the lean back
Degreez 3-level Heated and 3-level Cooled for Driver and Passenger Seats
    _______

What else should I do with the interior?

    Things I am considering:

Upgrading the sound system — any recommendations?
Screen in the passenger headrest or drop-down for my son.

Headliner wrapped in a camo pattern to add a little edge.
Molle system strip down the center of headliner for random storage and first aid.
    AR mount on headliner somehow...

You can fit 2 10's back there huh?! I only wanted to use one of the rear sections for the stereo and leave the other for storage so that just might work!

    Thanks for the recommendation!

lol sold my random toys and got lucky in making a few dollars with some investments but mostly just set goals and focused on them. When you want something bad enough you no longer want to sleep and you just want to spend every minute finding a way to make that goal a reality. Fully building this truck is my goal.

Sorry about the motivational rant lol

I learned too many hard lessons on buying products because of the price or the "deal". I try to stay with only the best now to save me money in replacements and headaches in the long run.

Just a dirty little close-up of that long travel stance brought to you by
    All-Pro Offroad
    .

I sent in my Fox 2.5 coil overs and had them upgraded to the DSC reservoirs which will be getting installed hopefully this weekend. I will let you all know if there is a big difference in ride quality on and offroad compared to the non DSC option.

All you need to do is loosen all the bolts then go behind and tighten them up with a torque wrench.

I was actually wondering how long it would take for someone to notice :D

Winter is Coming lol I thought it was about time to get another full shell to keep the baby stroller and grocery getting goods ( dad probs ) clean and dry. Depending on the trip or season I will go back and forth between my PackRack and this shell.

I had a Leer shell that I sold after the winter months last year and it was a good shell but not quite good enough...

This is a fully decked out ARE Z-Series that I just picked up from Jordan Camper in Midvale, UT. It has only been on a couple of days now and has already proven its worth with all of this rain we have been having.

I will post a full build sheet and photos of it this weekend.

I can relate very well to that. I had one that wasn't color matched at first. Then sold it for that very reason. A few weeks later I was kicking myself and started looking for a new one.

Are you going to put a matching front runner rack on or keep the thule/yakima stuff?
