Hey I was wondering if you ever did swap out the All-Pro leaf springs with Atlas springs. Really wondering why the change. I love your setup and was thinking of doing something really similar and wanted to avoid any problems you might be running into with this setup.

I don't know much about the Atlas springs, but the All Pros have been known to be very stiff unless you have hundreds of pounds weighing down the rear. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what Defconbrix doesn't like about these. I'm surprised I don't see any rake... with the 4" lift the All Pros provide, you usually get rake.

He's got a cargo glide and vault box mounted in the bed which prob adds some weight to minimize the rake.

This is definitely the best build I have seen. Glad I finally found the thread to follow. --

The SUA setups are normally for pre runner like builds. They limit down travel but allow more up travel. Fast runners want up travel, slow cruisers and crawlers want down travel. It will be interesting to see them used in an expo setting since I don't think anybody on this site has done that yet.
I had expos with less weight than he has. I had a shell, standard swing out bumper, but no truck vault and rack. Had no issues with stiffness. His problem is he has so much weight it's ridiculous so the expos can't take it. They will flatten out and go into negative flex over bumps.

Damn, I didn't realize how much weight he had on his rear end. I've heard of people loading 300lbs into the bed just to soften the ride of the expos. Could only imagine how much weight it takes to flatten the springs.

I think over 700 and you'll hit it. I read that he normally has 1000. I had 400-500 regularly and rode fine.

I've tried finding an answer but this build thread is so large I just can't seem to find it. What do you do to compensate for the track-width increase in the front to make the rear match? Do you just leave the rear narrower or do you put spacers on?

@DefconBrix at one time used spacers in the rear to match the front, but he had a few issues with them plus in he was nervous about them as well. He now sometimes put spacers on only during shows, but other than that he leaves it like it is a little offset. I've asked his that same question before.
