I've got DoubleTap 9mm +p loaded with gold dots in the Glock right now but I bought 5 boxes of Winchester Ranger SXT for when it's time to cycle ammo. I like Hornady Critical Defense, CorBon or Speer GDSB for the .38 snubbie.

I heard good things about that round. I prefer a 147 gr in 9mm for my Kahr CW9. I run the Winchester Ranger T in .45 ACP for my 1911's. Federal HST 165 gr in my off duty Glock 23. And my Agency uses Gold Dot 165 gr for the Gen 4 Glock 22's.

I have the same but just an xd. I got to shoot my s&'w bodyguard 380 for the first time today and I am impressed with it. Now I just need to get some hp's for carry rounds.

I've been a Federal fan forever and my Glock 19 shoots real good with it. I've just acquired a Glock 23 and am still trying to find what load it likes. I've been playing with some 165 grain Ranger but have just gotten some of the original 155 Federals to try.

What are you thoughts on the ballistics? Have you had a chance to experiment with them yet?

I'm very happy with the 147 grain 9mm Federals in my Glock 19. They shoot where I aim and have plenty of energy when loaded to +P levels but I am still trying to find a .40 load that I like in the Glock 23. It seemed to shoot low with the 165 Winchesters which is why I bought some Federal 155s to see if they shoot a little higher. I am also going to try some 180 grain loads, too. may just end up filing the front sight down a hair.

Bird shot penetrates drywall very well, actually. Better than a 55gr 5.56.

I saw some crime scene photos of a suicide not too long ago. Guy went into a hall closet and suck-started a single-shot 20ga shotgun. The bird shot blew the top of his head off, went through the closet wall, across the hall, and then through another wall all while keeping a nice, tight pattern. Dunno how far it went after that.

Where is everyone getting their HST? I've only seen it on some obscure websites. If you're LEO, I know where you get it. Curious about normal CCWers/shooters.

http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/ They're good to go. They have HST in stock for 9mm, .40, and .45... at a slight premium.
