You no read so good, or what?
I compared two scenarios of bragging about doing something legal (but dumb) on an enthusiasts' forum. And specifically called out the fact that the consequences are not equivalent. RIF

    Do better.

Good eye! Believe it or not, one over-heated and went bad recently. Luckily, I had the spare switchbacks on the shelf. LasFit actually told me they had issues with them overheating, and re-designed a new light. Mine was slightly over the one year warranty, but they actually credited me 50% on the purchase of some new ones. I give them credit for that. They didn't have to...

On an unrelated note, I have been convinced for years that "The Internet Arguer Guy" will argue about whether the sky is blue. Like, he cannot help himself. Your honor....Exhibit A....LOL.

I contacted them and they sent me a set. They are sitting on my shelf. I’m going to run the ambers for a while longer.

Yeah they're actually both nice in their own way. I like changing things up from time to time...

This is exactly what I did. My wheels are zero offset so it’s much more aggressive stance and no issues for me.

Would I pull over someone for mudflaps, or a broken tail light, or broken windshield? Depends. I couldn't pull over someone for "looking suspicious" but I did the job long enough to know when something didn't look right. A minor violation gives "reasonable suspicion" to pull someone over. Better hope you don't smell like alcohol, marijuana, have a suspended license, or a warrant. If none of that applies you got a warning.

You would have been good except for C. 1.

For the love of all things holy! What were you thinking going with zero offset wheels! Oh the humanity of it!

These guys are gonna kill both of us if we crack their windshield! I’ve got ‘0’ offset wheels too! And….. removed the fugly mudflaps….. Flame on, gentlemen…..

I've been driving 4X4's since 1976. Between my wife and I that's 9 SUV's and 7 trucks. My 07 Tacoma is the only one that came with mudflaps. The front ones broke off in 2010 and I removed the rears then. 99% of the other 4X4's on the road don't have mudflaps here in GA. I've never had any damage from rock chips hitting my paint. I did get a chipped windshield once when a dump truck I was following hit a pothole in the road. Dried mud on the undercarriage came loose hit the pavement and showered my truck with dirt and gravel. And he had mud flaps.

As long as your tires fit inside the wheel wells you don't need mudflaps. If they poke outside the fenders, you need fender flares. Mudflaps won't help with that.

I don’t know if you know the process of ppf or vinyls or not but you use a spray bottle to add water and soap mixtures to the surface to apply the ppf. Here is more photos just now if you want to investigate further.

    I know the process....
Just figured that may have been a recent pic after the ppf has been on for some time, they looked like they could have been some pits.....
Thats what the damage looks like, just like it was slightly sand blasted....
It can be very subtle & you dont notice it till its bad.....

As ive said, My tires dont stick out far at all +25 offset & have 285 75 17 so not huge, stock flaps, & never once seen a dirt road, or gravel.
Strictly city & highway drive on clean paved roads & I have some minor damage....
It creeps up on you, & I drive like an old man...

I’m not saying the rock chips are not going to happen. I mean it’s the reason I have the ppf installed. So I don’t understand what you’re going with your comments to my posts. My tires are the same size with 0 offset so my tires poke out 2 inches from the fender flares.

    Ok, you clarified....
Thats my point, it's going to happen.....
    Not if, it's when....
I was just point out I thought I saw pits, you say its water.
    We will carry-on.

The op's 35's will swing wide & be extremely outside the fender flare while turning, nature of the beast & that where the road debris & dirt, dust, pebbles, get picked up & start flying toward the bed of the truck.....

One minute everyone is brainstorming on the best way to protect our bed sides & then this guy comes on promoting everyone should take their mudflaps off, "way better'....
    just saying!

I'm just curious how you chose your cut lines. I would gave gone either yellow or red.
