23-24 is what I'm expecting and hoping for. I'd be curious what the drop is when you fill up.

I have had both the 2011 and 2012 Double Cab 4 banger - got a new one when some dually decided to hit me going 65 on the hwy - tacomas are tuff and it took the hit like a "G"

So anyways got a 2012 black - and never looked back - great truck I also have 265-75-r16 on mine and mpg did take a hit and Im lucky to get 350 out of a tank gas light usually comes on at 285-300 and i drive it another 20 miles or so over that on avergage -
but when i baby the truck and take it easy I can get 350 to a tank no problems

If i would have kept the 245 stock tires I could see getting 400 to a tank no problem

I keep reading how rare these trucks are, but when I went online looking for one every dealer within 50 miles had 2 or more. But they did have quite a few more v6s on the lot.

I love mine! So far I'm only getting 21 or 22mpg's, but we can't expect to compete with the 5 lug's with smaller cab's.

    Lol,

Try living in the Southeast, I have yet to come across one. At least in NC,

Everything seems to be a V6.

They aren't too hard to find if you are looking, but they certainly aren't very common.

Heres my dads double cab auto 4cyl (on the left). He special ordered it at the dealership. Mine (on the right) is also a 4 banger, but its an access cab. Does anyone know if they paired the 5spd as an option with the double cab 4cyl in the prerunner/4x4?

Thanks man! You should post up a pic in here if you have one! We need to get this thread rolling.. i feel like there are quite a few more dcsb 4cyls than we think! Seems like to me they almost always have to be special ordered

Bump! Does anyone in here know if the 4cyl double cabs were available with a 5speed as an option? Or with 4wd as an option? I feel like those would be a sweeet combo

Auto. Didnt want the 5 sp cause of the shitty stop and go traffic here. Not sure if it was even an option.

Yeah auto is definitely better in traffic. Ive been looking around at 4cyl double cabs and everything ive seen is an auto. I do think i remember a member on here mentioning that he had a 5spd though w/ his double cab. I think it was a 5 lug truck though
