On my 95.5 I noticed recently that sliding the control all the way to the defrost setting is no longer working and isn't kicking the A/C compressor on. In addition, the lights for the control panel are also out. The A/C button still works and air is blowing out of the vents. I checked all the fuses but can't find any issues.

Tried searching around but haven't found anyone else with this issue yet. Ideas? Is there a fuse I'm not aware of or connection somewhere? Haven't replaced the light yet for the panel but seems unlikely it's that.

    Get fsm. And start troubleshooting.

Edit: your compressor not kicking in but the button is lit means something else isn't right.

To clarify, the A/C button works and A/C work. It's just when you slide the handle to the defrost setting the A/C compressor doesn't kick on, and the backlight for the control panels is out.
