diesels in the tundras are being developed.... so the rumour mills say

 

I don't understand why everyone on here has boners for the diesel Hilux.

 

Since that sammich is so technologically advanced that it could post online.... can we drop a diesel in it?

 

Ok, mostly db and stuck people drive Prius'. The only prius driver's I've seen around here drive like retards (keep in mind that I live in Portland and there are more stupid drivers there than I care to count).

I advise you to not visit Southern California then. Drivers in Portland are far better drivers than people in SoCal.

 

I've been there and I beg to differ. It rains almost 10 months out of the year, yet when its dry for a week and it rains, there are half a dozen accidents around Portland; this is a pretty consistent event. It's a pretty well known fact in the rest of Oregon.

 

Dude I lived in San Diego for like 15 years, every time it rains there every single freeway has like 5 accidents a piece.

 

Rain and accidents aside, people in Oregon have better road manners and courtesy.

 

What is the fascination of putting a diesel in these mid sized trucks? I really don't get it.

I'd rather them make a damn fuel efficient Taco rather worrying about a diesel.

My neighbor in Germany used to have one. Blue and silver, such a sweet truck.

 

I was on the morrison bridge trying to merge to the left lane so I can get onto the 84 and some idiot wouldn't let me in, so i start merging cuz I had just enough room to cut him off. Well, the guy pulls up next to me (driving against on-coming traffic) and he pushes me back in to the left lane. The dumbass had a kid in the back seat to. Road manners my ass. All the Portland drivers I had to deal with are assholes. Keep in mind that the worst part is the Southeast, where I lived.

Needless to say, I live in La Grande now and traffic consists of 5 cars on the road

 

Diesels have more power, better fuel milage, you can convert to WVO (You pretty much use vegetable oil as fuel), and the engines last much longer.

 

-not much more, unless you plan on having a powerstroke or something in there
-not really. its a truck, youre not going to get much better
-who cares about vegatable oil? you cooking something? im not putting it in my vehicle
-tell this to the 1st gen'ers who have 300k+

 

So that's an isolated incident.



Meh whatever, comparing my own personal experiences driving around SoCal for the last 5.5 years and driving around the PacNW, I'd still say drivers up here drive better.
