when I started working on base last year I noticed alot of standards go by the wayside.

We lived through two instructions but the latter has changed considerably.

We got a Thanksgiving luncheon here in the Squadron today before military folks start rolling out on Leave.

I also got a 3pm bi-weekly haircut appointment.

There's a Surprise Social Hour event for one of our employees who hit his 20 year mark at 4pm.

And finally, we are going out with our "Couples" hangout friends...it's Joe's birthday today...rolling out around 6-ish.

 

Update:

Got my fill during the luncheon.

Love my barber...she listens to my stories and then shares some of her personal experiences with me--I'm happy with my haircut!

Social time with work folks went great! Always nice to say good things about people who make the job worthwhile.

Lastly, our night out with friends is always fun.

 

Sounds like it was a great day.

I planned on changing the fluids… then decided I didn’t feel like it. Maybe tomorrow

Hey Eric,

I went on a walk in the park early this morning...where we use to take our Lab/Shepard Mix girl named "Isis."

We had her since she was 6-months old and moving into our home in Sept/2006 - she passed in Aug/2019.

People would look at us weird whenever we called her name...

Now, we have a black cat who is now named "Q" after being named "Queenie" before surgery revealed otherwise...lol!

Wife slept in today but I prepared breakfast for her...prepped my own salsa and cooked up "Huevos Rancheros."

Now, it's time for meal-prep for the upcoming work-week.

We have the Audit/Inspection behind us with relatively minuscule findings.

Did our Thanksgiving Day grocery shopping this past Monday...we prepare two different proteins: Turkey & Tofurkey.

Only one of our daughters is spending the day/weekend with us since the other is going to her in-laws. (We hosted both last year)

Great job with the audit. We had an old coworker join us for the Ravens game. He’s a Steelers fan so was happy when he left. Still a fun time!

 

I was rooting for Ravens...I've picked them as my east coast team as a Delawarean! lol

It was a fun game to watch.

Yeah, luckily we don't take "Q" on walks in the park! lol

We transitioned to kitties after our Lab/Shepard Mix passed in Aug/2019. (No pic of our female Maeve yet)

Of course, we couldn't have just one 5-month old black kitten when it all started in May 2021.

Pups can never be replaced but always remembered!
