Gotta get thru March first...

Next weekend is our Over-Nighter at Rehoboth for our 35th wedding anniversary...actual date is the 24th.

I'm home alone tonight since wife is going to K-Pop concert with our youngest tonight in NYC.

Tomorrow, I'll drive up north to fetch my wife and go grocery shopping at Trader Joe's at the Christiana Mall.

Before heading up, I may do a Bavarian Bakery run...just this one time before I start cutting back on sweets! lol

Before you know it, March will be done...until then...Rock On!

Rain today? Hmm wasn’t expecting that

 

Good morning Eric, Delaware + Friends.

Woke up at 6:15am to feed kitties...wife called me at 9am (after she just woke up) to see if I was on the road (kids suggested breakfast).

Welp, I slept in today!

No Bakery run and it's too late to get up to Wilmington for breakfast with the kids.

I definitely don't wanna rush to get up there since I have daughter's 6-speed GTI. (Why we swapped cars is another story) lol

Anyhow, I'm packing just the empty shopping bags and taking my time driving up north. (We are grocery shopping at Trader Joe's at Christiana Mall)

First, cup of coffee and a donut. Don't ask where the donut came from! lol

 

Back home now.

Did the Trader Joe's shopping but skipped CostCo's.

Wife was tired so she's off for a nap.

I've got to put gas in her car...that NY/Brooklyn to/fro drive + drive to Trade Joe's then home and she's at 1/4 tank.

Man, I love the gas mileage my wife's car gets!

 

You mean Tacomas aren't economy trucks.

 

I've heard they were!

Why aren't I getting 24+/mpg in my Tacoma????????

 

Good morning Delaware + neighboring states.

Made it through this last part of the weekend.

Tanked up and added car wash for my wife's Elantra at Royal Farms--car sits in the garage with rain forecasted today/tomorrow.

Meal-prep this week: Leg of Lamb cut to portions for 5 days, couscous, and mixed veggies.

I'm gonna start going to the gym on-base and work on losing some weight...my Gastro Doc suggested losing 20 lbs; I'm at 197.

I've gotten to 190 without trying so this will take some work.

Time to locate/gather workout clothes, gym towels, sneakers, water bottle, and small backpack...also 2nd backpack for change of clothes.

I haven't been to the gym since Covid...so I will start off slow.

Sounds like you’re gonna be busy. Good luck with the gym. I’d like to start going again, but the pup makes everything difficult.

Sounds like some good lunches planned.

 

Starting slow is alway smart. It’s crazy what just a little extra movement everyday can do for your health.

Time to get this Monday started.

Need to schedule a haircut this week...for Friday at 3:30pm.

Wife and I got an overnighter down at the Delaware Beaches in celebration of our anniversary this weekend--Looking forward to our annual Couple's Massage.

Next scheduled excitement activity is my TRD Suspension Upgrade on April 1st.

Welp, my meal-prep is delicious!

Slices of Leg of Lamb, couscous and medley mixed veggies.

I'm drinking plenty of water at work too...cut out sodas a long time ago...and I don't do energy drinks. lol

I will take it slow at the gym today...man! I can't believe it's been since Covid that I hadn't step foot at the gym on base.

Late reporting today!

I put together my Aeration Tool that I special ordered from Lowe's.

But not before I cranked up the riding mower (she fired right up) but I'm concerned I may need to put a dab (small portion) of gas additive.

Also need to do oil change on Riding Mower.

Wife wants some chores done before this weekend since the kids will be House/Kittie sitting while we are at Rehoboth Beach for our overnighter.

Welcome to Hump Day! lol

So, I did the first of dedicated chores last night in prep for our overnight escapade this weekend to the beach--scrubbing shower walls/double sinks & counter/vacuuming/mopping the floor.

My wife teases me because she knows I reluctantly like cleaning; she poked her head in the door and said, "How are you doing in here Cinderella?" lol

I quickly responded, "I'm doing just fine, Wicked Step-Mother." (We had a good laugh)

Next up is dust-mopping/spraying wood floors using Bona products...love rearranging furniture and then putting it back when the floors dry. lol

I'll do that on Thursday since we are going grocery shopping on Friday.

Which means today after work/gym-time/walk around the neighborhood with my wife, I can aerate the yard and put down some Scotts Grass Seed before I do the Weed/Feed Triple Action.

Busy times...I need to squeeze an oil change for Riding Mower and remove that stripped bolt from my Talon CAT plate before truck goes into the shop for Suspension Upgrade.

First, I have to do this four-letter word called: W.O.R.K. lol
