    Hey RW, @Road_Warrior

    Sorry for not responding sooner.

The suspension on the Limited feels like the TRD Suspension I just had installed on my Sport.

My truck rides about the same height as the Limited...which I thought was great!

Good morning Delaware + Friends. :pccoffee:

Taking my Truck back to dealership for fix/correction of U-Bolt seating on the Bump Stop Bracket.

I've explained it on my Intro Thread.

Sorry to hear you have to go back but at least you know they will fix what they messed up since it’s a dealership!

Or if you need, I might be in the Dover area next week and can bring my out of calibration torque wrench and some sockets. Should only need 17 and 19mm sockets… I think

    Good morning Fellas,

Thanks for the well-wishes and assistance!

I've got some things to sort out but nothing major.

Talking sensibly to the Service Rep/Technician should get my concerns resolved.

I'm not going to put the dealership on blast but reminding them just how important it is to do the job correctly the first time.

I harp on young Airman who bring Unserviceable Aircraft Assets to our location that all documentation/identity must be processed correctly the first time.

One Airman has learned that properly identifying/tagging components results in "No Repeats" which in essence means, no mistakes to correct.

As long as I'm happy with the results at dealership, that's all that matters.

Morning Ed. You gonna torque check your stuff during the oil change?
Ask them if they have torque strip or paint if you do and mark all the nuts.

Use the second number in the parenthesis

Did they put a sway bar spacer in? May or may not be needed.

    Good morning Eric.

I'm just changing the oil today...did not bring my torque wrench.

Auto Hobby Shop on base has limited hours and I'm gonna do the oil change during my lunch time.

Thanks for all that Wonderful Data!

Getting ready to head over to the DAFB Auto Hobby Shop and find out if it's still walk-ins/first come, first serve.

Giving myself 30-40 mins to complete oil change...since the charge is $8/hr.

Good morning Delaware + Neighboring States. :pccoffee:

Got the oil change done within the allotted 1hr/$8. I was the first one to sign

While I waited at Newark ToyotaWorld Dealership to have the U-Bolts seated correctly, I bought 3 Oil Filters, get 4th Free for under $21.

They are using a different color on the paper filter as opposed to the yellow.

I cut the drain tubes since they were a bit long.

Fumoto valve worked great...draining takes longer than usual...attendant was hounding me for the oil drain dolly!

I can't make the oil come out any faster! lol

Anyway, I cleaned/mopped the bay and went back to work.

Good morning Delaware + Neighboring States.

Welp, I rounded out the week having the Dealership in Dover perform a Tire Rotation.

As I thought about it, I wanted to see a comparison between Newark's alignment vs Dover.

When I left Newark dealership yesterday after corrections/alignment, I was given a photo of the alignment (not a hard copy) which was all Green.

After the Dover alignment, there were corrections made...but again, I got a numbers print out instead of expecting the graph showing the wheels.

It was an additional charge for the alignment but I wanted to see how much of a difference in analysis.

So the job was done and after I paid...I did a walk around my truck (as I always do).

I checked the center caps for secureness and got to one that just came off to the touch!

Immediately, I went to the service counter and reported my finding.

There was a look of shock...which is NOT what I was shooting for...

Service tech immediately went to Parts and ordered me a replacement...free of charge.

I reminded everyone who was listening...the center cap does not need to be removed in order to remove the wheel/tire.

Had I driven off without inspecting my truck, the center cap would have flown off at some point.

This story has a happy ending...I'm not discouraged by Dealership hiccups...so long as not major events and they are corrected.

Good thing you caught it! Otherwise it would have been really annoying.

I thought it was supposed to rain all day but I guess not.

Working on a Walmart pick up order and planning to run my wife’s car through the car wash on the way to pick it up. The dealer offers free car washes. Not anything special but free is still great!

Ok, nix that, got a free wash at WashX

I jet-sprayed my truck yesterday (for the 2nd time) to wipe off all the blossoms that fell on her.

Past experience has taught me that blossoms like to stick to the paint and are harder to remove when they dry.

Yes, keeping a BLACK truck clean is challenging...my previous vehicles were Silver/Gray.

Now that I have my TRD Lift...I'm somehow looking past the challenges of keeping a Black vehicle clean.

i see you using that havoline smart change 6 quart box
    how do you like it?
i have been using that brand for the past few years
it seems to be the most cost-effective. you get 6 quarts for less $$ for what the oil in the plastic jugs cost that only give you 5 quarts

    Good morning!

This is my third box used...I bought 2PK the first time on Walmart.com.

I have 1 box remaining so I'll need to order again!

Current pricing is $28 per box for less $$ and works out great like you said.

I follow Chloe Kuo and saw her oil change and been hooked since.

I've had no issues with the synthetic oil...and oil level checks always measure to the correct amount on the dipstick.

EDIT: Current search reveals Walmart.com is out of stock!!!
