    Good morning!

I was stationed at Dyess AFB, TX (Abilene) from Sep 1993-Apr 1999.

My assignment to Ramstein, GE was after a tour at Hickam AFB, HI from Apr 1999-Jul 2003.

Plenty of Army posts while I was at Hickam & Ramstein.

I have not been watching them at all this season...if they make the Playoffs, I'll watch.

Last night, they looked pretty good.

Kopitar is still there as is a couple other players from 2012/2014 seasons when they won The Cup.

I've started watching the Dodgers more often on TV...and even caught a game against the Phillies a couple weeks ago.

Basketball has kinda disappeared from my purview.

    Good afternoon/early evening.

Well, I was at the office alone today...got some stuff done...had minimal visitors.

I've been going to the gym on base after work M-F...I've not lost much weight but I'm not gaining!

I teeter around 199 but have gotten as low 197.

If I can work my way town to 190, I'll be happy and my Gastro Doc will want me to lose 10 more! lol

Relocated bird feeder yesterday...trenching the post out then making another hole and adding dirt I got from backyard to help seal it.

More weeds to pull...and I need to change the oil on the Riding Mower!!!

Nice! Idk about you but solitude = productivity in my book. Good on you for being consistent with the gym. I always get SOMETHING done but I'd say about 3 days a week I do a workout I feel sore from. Ever since I got back to my fighting weight I don't really see the scale change much but body comp and the way I feel definitely changes.

Hope the ground wasn't too dry for your feeder project!

We're on vacation all next week so I have to be careful not to start any big projects but I did get 4 new cameras set up on the property today just in time for the trip. Rest of the week will be packing and working ahead so I don't come back to a mess.

Hope it was a good night for ya!

    Hey Dalton,

    It was solitude for sure!

But I have the occasional visitor, i.e. : FedEx pickup guy, Flight Service Center (who brings us UNSERV C17 parts), Air Force Supply people, and other random peeps.

Also had our Bi-weekly TEAMS Staff Meeting...so when it came fore Around the Room, I had to converse with the Teams Lead (who is our Mgr).

I warmed up my meal-prep and did not have to leave the area other than bathroom breaks...overall a good day.

As for the gardening/yardwork...right now is the best time to pull weeds and trench-up the ground because the dirt is soft!

Once the sun starts blazing on us, the ground is not friendly to those wishing to pull weeds. lol

Glad you got what you needed to do before vacation.

We are heading out to SoCal here a week from tomorrow...gotta visit Mom & my Step Dad.

    Enjoy your night!

Nice! Sometimes (especially with office work) I get in a rhythm that lasts the whole day and other times if I get up to take a leak it's like I've lost all focus. Still trying to crack the code and figure out how to make more good days than bad. Sounds like a good day's work overall for you tho!

We got a taste of that sun today, might just force my hand on the garden prep before we leave - that way we can plant right when we return. Hoping for a few different types of peppers, cukes, spinach, and maybe some squash. I'll have to ask my mom on that one, she's the green thumb in the family.

We'll be heading westward too, annual family trip to AZ. The 5 hour flight with my youngest being just 18 mos is a little intimidating, but we managed it with our first and now he's 8 so he'll be a big help keeping the little one entertained. That's great that you'll get out to visit family for a bit - are they still in the same area you grew up?

Have a great night Ed, catch ya next time!

Good morning Delaware + Friends. :pccoffee:

    Good morning Dalton.

    It's Hump Day already!!!

So, both the fellas should be at work today...will they be talkative while I'm trying to do things on my work laptop. lol

It was quiet at work for the day...and I enjoy it for sure.

Sounds like your travel times are adventurous with a little one...good luck with him. lol

Mom moved out of LA proper and to the Inland Empire...which is roughly 40 miles east/inland.

Of course, it was more vineyard plantations back in the late eighties...now, there are more homes there.

I'm so glad I don't live in SoCal...too many people.

My eldest sister calls me "Green Acres" because I have a Big Yard & Riding Mower! lol

I've asked my sister to come visit but she honestly said, it would probably be too quiet...she's use to helicopters/squad cars/gun shots I guess. (That's not funny!) lol

Enjoy your vacation when the time comes.

    Good Morning!

Travel's always a challenge, but they're good kids and I've got a good wife and that helps a bunch! I am with ya on the "too many people" sentiment. It's always strange to return home and see how things have changed. When I was a kid my hometown was pretty firmly in the "Pennsyltucky" category of Pennsylvania landscapes, but now it looks more like the rest of suburbia.

Last year was my first time in California for my brother in law's wedding, but we hardly spent any time in the cities, we were mostly in Sonoma - I can definitely see the appeal!

In regards to your sister - it's amazing what we can get used to! Maybe she's afraid if she visits she might like the change of pace. As beautiful as Sonoma was I wouldn't trade a good lawn and 4 seasons for it.

    Have a good one Ed!
