We've got VHS tapes too!!! lol

    Talk about "Old School!"

I don't have any beta tapes...that was BMT (Before My Time).

I had at least 3 VHS players since 1986 but now down to 1...and the little door/spring has broken off.

I would think it still plays but have not tested it.

Some of the DVDs in my collection can get turned into 2nd In Charles (up past Christiana Mall) for money or credit.

Not a bad thing to buy used DVDs and other things.

One of the toilets is starting to stick and run water into the bowl till we catch it. Gonna have to get the parts for that, toilet is 5-6 years old maybe.

My wife was even telling me, "You're doing too much!"

This, after we went to "Walk-In Clinic" for wife's personal condition...took less than 1.5 hrs from start to Pharmacy visit/home.

I washed our youngest daughter's VW/GTI before she departed back home to Wilmington. (6-Speed Manual/Sporty Euro Sedan Hatchback)

Wife is slowly packing for our LA trip...she asked for the larger suitcase which is Max: 22 X 14 X 9.

    I'm using the smaller sized: 19 X 12 X 9 and both of us have a backpack.

Watching Dodger game vs Pirates...Top of the 8th...LA leads 9-2.

There is still daylight so I'll close out the evening with washing wife's Elantra and then washing my truck.

Yeah, I'm motivated to get things done when leaving the house any length of time for vacation.

Kids are house-sitting so the least I can do is have the yard looking sharp.

Can't forget to leave the inside of the house clean too! lol

I think I'll take it easy the next 2 days at work...but if I know me, I'll be making sure I clear my desk of tasks. lol

That makes alot of sense to me! I always find that the stress of the few days before and after vacations is almost not worth going on the trips hahah

You should have seen me when it was time to pick up and move the family to a new assignment!

I had to schedule HHG (House Hold Goods) pick-up and get utilities disconnected as the primary duties.

Also had to schedule POV (Private Owned Vehicle) drop off and acquire a car until fly-out!

There is so much more to relocating it's unreal!

So, these little duties are nothing compared to what I had to do when on Active Duty.

Welp, time to start the first of a 2-day work week.

First, I got to remember I have a 9am appt with my doctor today.

I'll process some inductions that I inspected last week...it's a 2-step process involving:

All documents needed for turn-in process
Inspecting UNSERV asset via ID plate/etched on property
Inspecting the TPO (Packaging/box) and sanitizing it (getting rid of previous ship labels) and repairing/taping box
Is the asset ESD? Does it have liquids that run through it? (Fuel/oils) Is it assembled correctly?
Getting Dims/Weights and annotating on source document.
Review listing which shows which assets are rendered immediate processing to ship to vendor.
Use HH label maker to print part/serial# and apply to the box
    Assigning location

That was all the first step! lol

Now, I'm sitting at the computer signed into system to execute some transactions. :playball:

    Oh, I'm not done! lol

Then, I have to sign all documents, scan, and rename file...then upload to 2 different file locations.

Finally, after renaming all source documents, type file names on Excel spreadsheet and have section who brought the UNSERV parts over, sign for them.

This, to capture everything processed and CYA ourselves when department comes looking for delinquent documents...we point them to section who signed for them.

Oh, I separate all the perforated documents and make sure we keep a file for our records.

Easy peasey stuff...so I better get going! lol

    Of course not! lol

Just got back from an Aircraft Maintenance Meeting with our whole team--Site Mgr briefed lots of stuff...and supplemental speakers to brief tidd bits.

Now that I'm back, I see more UNSERV to Induct...meanwhile, there's an hour I can't get back! lol

I've always pondered why we have so many meetings...how am I supposed to do my work when I have a meeting to attend? lol

My coping mechanism is to laugh...A LOT!!!

It was lots of note taking and screen capturing to understand why we do what has to be done.

I got the Air Force Logistics side down-packed...I was Supply Logistics my whole AF career.

The other piece of the puzzle is my current employer's systems to navigate. o_O o_O o_O

Okay, so I ended the duty day by going to the gym.

I weigh myself (when I remember to) and I'm at about 196...but, a friend sneaks up behind me and steps on the scale.

Weight shot up to 246! lol

I turn around and have a laugh with my buddy and fist-pump--Woot-woot!

Anyhow, wife is asking how to copy files from her work computer to external flash drive...

Not quite sure she knows most (if not all) work computers don't allow connecting an external flash thus possibly introducing virus to the network.

She's adamant that it can be done...but we are not having any luck locating the flash.

I'm like, "Babes, you need to talk to your IT Team and have them remote into your laptop and copy your files on Admin computer.

Hopefully, she can contact them to resolve this because I'm not the IT guy...just passing what I learned. lol

We are supposed to go on our Neighborhood Walk but this little tasker is only delaying our walk.

Wife “sorted it out” and put her files on her personal laptop.

I went into the perimeter of the front porch and pulled weeds!

You can see the white rocks now. lol
