    Made it out of work on time to get to my Annual Eye Exam.

    The boys leave at 2pm and I’m the late shift leaving at 3pm.

    I don’t mind leaving/staying late so long as I don’t have to start at 6am…F-that!!! lol

    TGIF!

    I've got the Stand-By phone which means, I gotta attend the 7am meeting beginning today.

    I've also got lots of paperwork to process and clean up an area I've been assigned...all in a day's work.

    Had my annual eye exam and haircut yesterday and today I have a chiropractor appointment after work.

    It rained for part of the evening yesterday and it looks like more rain is expected this morning until about 10-11am.

    I'm glad I got my Mom flowers and M-Day card before we left SoCal! (That was smart thinking Ed)

    Now it's just a matter of taking care of my wife's card/flowers. lol

    It's a sunny 57F with a high expected to be in the lower 70s.

    Only plans we got today is grocery shopping.

    We are grand-pup sitting since the weekend consists of concerts every day!

    Last night, the kids were in Philly...there's another concert tonight and tomorrow so we have lil Oona until Monday.

    It gives me a chance to do some more work on the yard.

    Can't forget flowers for my wife! lol

    Got my wife flowers and a card this morning...I can't seem to find the vase...what did she do with it?

    Welp, one of our cats loves to eat/mess with flowers so I'll have to be on the watchful eye so this knuckle doesn't destroy them. lol

    Sometimes, I need to slow down and think about what my wife would do.

    I wanted to put the flowers in the vase immediately because "Q" was being a "butt"...I'm a little impatient, as you can see.

    So, when my wife woke up I asked her where she stored the vase.

    She went right to the cupboard over the stove/microwave and "Boom!" lol

    Just a reminder for me to think things through when I'm trying to solve a situation.

    While it sounds bad I don’t get my wife flowers on holidays. Our cats are known to always attack them, no matter where they go. She prefers other gifts.

    Does not sound bad at all! lol

    It sounds bad that wife and I don't sleep in same bed...unless the kids are spending the weekend with us.

    I snore like a train and wife already has a hard time getting deep sleep.

    Also, I wake up at 5:30am and don't have to worry about being quiet. lol

    Wife says she doesn't like me spending money on flowers because they die.

    But the look on her face when she receives them tells me she still likes getting flowers.

    Hey you all.

    Hope you had a nice Mother's Day.

    Wife and I had a late night Saturday...watching The White Lotus S3/E1-2...got to bed at midnight.

    Was up at 6:45am and fed the cats...they like to wake me up on the weekends.

    Slipped away to get flowers/card for my wife before she woke up at 9am--I got brownie points for flowers & thoughtful words in the card.

    Then my focus was meal prep for the workweek...which is enchiladas!

    Needless to say, it's 8:39pm and I'm still preparing two more trays.

    Wife was hungry so I put the enchi's in the oven and prepped the Spanish rice/refried beans--more brownie points!

    Was able to watch the finale series game: Dodgers vs DBacks--Dodgers won to even the DB home-stand.

    Gotta check my work laptop because I have Standby this weekend...and a daily meeting at 7am tomorrow thru Thursday.

    Enjoy the rest of the night.
