saw this earlier. the leaks were pretty much 100% right. not a huge fan of the looks personally but the interior layout is far superior to the 3G. a lot of people seem to be complaining about the new hybrid engine but if you don’t like it…. don’t get it. there’s other trims that don’t have it. don’t think i’ll get it personally but maybe it’ll grow on me :notsure:

    Good morning Delaware.

No empty nest this weekend--both daughters & their husbands are spending the weekend with us.

So our two kitties ("Q" and Maeve) get the company of Azshara & Oona.

I started watering the backyard yesterday...I don't have fixed sprinkler system so I use the Orbit Traveling Sprinkler.

Today, I wake up to light rain...and the garden hose & sprinkler are still on the grass. lol (I'll have to reel it in after morning coffee)

Wednesdays afternoons are spent cutting the grass since the Green Yard Bin was emptied--our Saturdays are busy so I'm free of yard work.

I'm supposed to change the oil on my Sport today but I'm gonna hold off for a bit. It's a busy end of May.

    Enjoy the day!

    Hey Delaware!

    Hope your day was good.

It's always great to have our adult children visit us for sleepover.

Taking a break from the hectic workweek and relaxing at home is always beneficial.

    Hey! Good morning Eric @hyrule_trd

It's already Tuesday...I know, the week may seem to be going by slow for some.

Our eldest daughter celebrates her 33rd Bday this Saturday so we are preparing for another sleep-over! (We just had one this past weekend)

Our son-in-law slipped on the wood staircase leading to the Bonus Room over the garage this past weekend.

I need to apply the transparent stair treads so we don't slip walking down the stairs with socks on.

What is everyone doing this Memorial Day Weekend?

Hope he wasn’t hurt, probably just a little embarrassed. I usually am when I slip down steps

That’s a good idea for the clear treads on those steps.

Not much planned. Going to try and spend time with my brother and his kids. It’s been almost 3 months since his wife passed away unexpectedly and her birthday was the beginning of June. I think they’ll need some extra support these next few weeks.

    @hyrule_trd

In early April, I slipped and slid on my butt on 3-4 steps...my wife & youngest daughter heard me and immediately came to check on me!

I was laughing so hard and grateful I did not injure/break my tail bone...my butt saved me!

My pride was tarnished and I believe my son-in-law's was too--so the tread steps are going on right away!

Very sorry to hear about your sister-in-law's passing. Spending time with family is essential to healing + the kids need to see their Uncle.

June is my birthday month...not till the 28th so I celebrate the whole month!

Thanks and I’m sure you’ll feel better knowing they are there!

We try to visit and see them when we can without trying to overdo it. Don’t want them to get overwhelmed either.
His older son is the same age as mine so they are able to hang out when we visit. They used to play video games online all the time but they just get mad at each other.

unfortunately working 10-14hr days from now through the 4th to try and push this one helicopter out before it’s due date, so that’s fun. might have off sunday however and help the parents open the pool for the summer however!

Good morning @Dream Weaver and G'morning Delaware!

That's business for ya...Production Control can be a bear...I use to work for Boeing so I know where you're coming from.

But look at the bright side--helping parents is always a good thing!

The stairs are done...all 13 transparent stair treads are in-place and hopefully no one slips on the stairs going up or down with socks on.

It's "Hump Day" and the week is progressing rapidly...believe it or not.

I'm gonna do a sign up sheet for the DE Meet...so I can update attendance. It would be nice to take a photo but we'll play it by ear.

Thinking about it, @Juniorbpd is another one that might be interested. I’ve not seen him post in a while. Then there is always @RobP62 but he is a known MIA to TW. Maybe I’ll send him a text and give him a heads up.

    @Dream Weaver

It's good that this Delaware Thread is reviving itself...through interest/dialogue.

Just typing a quick blurp about yourself or greeting to start the conversation--it can open up people to release what's on their mind or going on in their lives.

Case in point...my son-in-law's recent slip/fall on our wood floors...and our solution to prevent future occurrences.

That would be great if you can get in touch with members who have been Absent/MIA from TW.

i think it’s really cool that locally (delaware) there’s a thread with people talking about a common interest. especially for tacomas. i see the “infidel jeepers” near about everywhere, and even more the jeeps with the ducks on the dash that they give each other for liking their vehicle. sometimes i see a taco when i’m out and about and i’m like “damn, i wish i had a flier or something to put on this dudes windshield to invite him to the thread”. i’m sure not that many causal tacoma owners don’t really care that much about their truck, but it’s still a cool place to learn about and talk to people about a common interest
