    Hey Connor,

I was sending PM to get your cell number. If you prefer a different method for me to contact you, let me know.

Wife and I had a wild hair and took a trip to Ellicott City, MD.

Our eldest had been and said it was a quaint little town...that's all my wife needed to hear.

Stopped by Whole Foods in Annapolis too...on our way home.

Glad you got to see the pandas before they go back home.

Good morning Delaware & Tri-State Area.

Had a nice visit to Ellicott City, MD yesterday--wife and I made a decision that our weekend trips to the surrounding area should be within 100 miles/one way.

No use of remote start this morning...temps were above 40F.

I'm still waiting to find out about a job I interviewed for on Wed/Nov 1st.

    Have a great week everyone!

Good morning Delaware. Started a palace chase application (let's me out of my active duty commitment early) on the 18th of last month. It's currently at the last step of the process. Should hopefully get word of an approval or denial sometime this week or next. If approved I'll be separating from active duty in March and moving back home to Hawaii. Have a job line up with the fire department back home. Fingers crossed my package gets approved.

I remember "Palace Chase" program...of course, I did not want to go back to SoCal/LA. lol

Hope it all works out for you.

Thanks Ed, expecting the worst as aircraft mx is always "under manned" and is the sole reasoning behind anything getting denied for airmen in our career field. Ya never know, we shall see.

You must be a crew chief...jack of all trades and master of none! (I'm kidding!!!)

I'm a retired Supply Troop and worked in an AMU/MSU at Aviano supporting the Triple Nickel Squadron of F16s...so I know about wrench turners like you! lol

There's lots of transient aircraft flying through Hickam so I hope you get your Palace Chase. (I was stationed at Hickam too)

Good morning Delaware & the Tri-State Area.

It's an exciting day for me...I'm ready to "Sing A Song" and "Ride Like The Wind."

But, I must contain myself and be patient.

I'm basically a crew chief, 17's are weird. My primary AFSC is 2a6x5 aircraft hydraulics.
Just got my tentative approval today! Super excited! Will begin out processing next month

    Congrats!

Here is some unsolicited advice that might be useful. During your exit physical make sure to discuss anything you had an issue with physically or mentally that way it’s documented in case you need to file it as a disability later. Having it on there can mean the difference between service connected and denial.

Here are two links that’ll be a big help too.

Good morning Charles, @Strictlytoyz and Delaware/Tri-State Area!

Our CAFFT Team flew out of Kirkuk, Iraq on a C17 after completing a 365 assignment in 2008.

It's a much quieter ride than a C5...daughters & I took a Rotater to Ramstein about a year after we arrived to Dover, AFB in 2006. (Those seats are at the tail end and facing backwards)

All the best to you in your new assignment.

Throughout the history of our nation, the willingness of those who served to defend and protect our freedoms has carried us through many trials.
THANK YOU to the many men and women who have sacrificed a portion ( or all) of their lives in service to us all. You are the true heroes who should be celebrated always‼️

Good afternoon Kevin, Delaware & the Tri-State Area.

Thank you Kevin for the recognition and thanks to all who have served.

I spent the evening at the Wells Fargo Center to watch "The 1975" perform.

Our youngest daughter asked me to go with her a while back...glad to experience this band from England.

Sounds like a good morning. I’ve been procrastinating taking the kids trampoline apart…. Maybe today will be the day… but also, maybe not.
