    Hey Connor,

Looks tame as far as road is concerned.

Interesting views of Highway 1 and Route 13.

Wife and I went to a couple of furniture stores...one on the 13 in Camden (don't know the name of the one on 13) and Calloways down in Harrington.

Seems we like furniture much better from Ikea. lol

We have a son-in-law who's going to Drexel studying architecture that has been our interior design guru. :)

would be a neat drive one day.

How’s the new suspension treating you?

I’ll be at Rausch Creek on 7/20 with a buddy and his buddy. Maybe they wouldn’t mind another truck.

There is also a Toyota takeover there the last weekend this month.

That canal road looks interesting. Might have to give that a try. Google maps makes it look like you can get from the 896 bridge over to the 13 bridge.

    Back from Dewey Beach!

It was slightly overcast which made it "not too hot" for the first 30 minutes.

Then the clouds parted ways to let the sun shine in...a second dose of sunblock was applied.

I like to Boogie Board so I caught several waves...which was great exercise!

Looks like a weekly trip to the beach is in order! lol

Coming back up north...lots of traffic going back home....took the Milford Exit after the Bayhealth Sussex Campus exit; thru rural areas.

I forget how much rural areas there are here in Delaware.

i absolutely love it. sorry i didn’t reply to your other post but i haven’t played around with the valves yet, just no time recently to spend messing with it and driving around. it’s night and day to stock though.

it’s not hard at all by any means, people go to fish along it in sadans and crossovers lol. it’s fun however! you can’t access the road from the 13 side, because of the construction on the bridge, the road goes under it and it has a do not enter around it. you can however go on the 896 side and drive all the way to the route 1 bridge, which honestly takes like 25 min at 15-20mph. pretty neat!

I'm considering Sussex Co as a possible area to purchase my retirement home. Maybe somewhere in the Millsboro area. I figure it has around a 30 to 40 drive to the Delaware seashore
where I could drive on the beach to fish. If I'm lucky enough to find a place on or near the Indian River or Rehoboth Bay that could be a plus.

Thoughts on that part of the state.

BTW, I currently live in Delco PA and we vacation in OCMD each year. So I'm somewhat familiar with the area.

Good morning Delaware + Friends and.... @BassFisher887

I live in Kent County and can't really say much about Sussex other than, mostly Rural.

There are plenty of small lakes for fishing...drive around enough and you'll spot them.

When our family first got to Dover AFB in 2006, we migrated to Rehoboth since that was the hot spot at the time.

Nowadays, we (me) enjoy Indian River Inlet, Dewey Beach and Cape Henlopen.

Rehoboth is very much a congested/tourist beach with all the shops they have there...and parking is ridiculous, unless you get there super early.

Also, I believe homes in Sussex County are expensive on the waterfront...but Millsboro seems doable if you just need basics.

milsboro is a great area, actually milton is an upcoming town too which is just as close to the beaches. milford is a super booming town (i grew up in harrington and milford, it’s come such a long way). georgetown isn’t too bad either. generally speaking the closer to the beaches, the more expensive housing is going to be. going in more central sussex county where it’s more rural you can get a lot more land for cheaper, and if what you want is to be close to the beach, it’s not terribly far.

    Evening all,

Thanks for the information and link. Very much appreciated.

The beaches are definitely part of the attraction to the area. I'm also looking for a slower pace of living that what we currently have being 30 min from Philly. I do understand that on summer weekends and during peak season the beach scene will be nuts. So I'm looking to use the beach more during the shoulder seasons and maybe take advantage of the bay and inland lakes instead during the busy beach times. Who knows, a boat could be in my future.

In any case my wife has family in the Philly area so getting her to agree to relocate to Southern DE will be a challenge.

Thanks again, and at least I know there a few decent Tacoma drivers who live in the state.

Good morning Delaware + Friends & TGIF!

@BassFisher887 -- And good morning to you!

    Good plan for the off-season.

Philly is so close...it's not really an issue unless your wife does not like sitting in the car for lengths of time or driving in it.

And me being from LA, I have and do appreciate the slow pace of this state.

It all depends on what your wife likes to do on weekends.

If this state doesn't have it, you can travel out of it to get what you want.

Forgot to mention, Delaware is tax-free so mention that to her! lol

    Good morning Delaware + Friends.

Coffee time and pastries from the local German Bakery: 2 Blueberry Muffins & 2 Turnovers (apple/blueberry).

It rained overnight and with the warm weather it's kinda muggy outside.

    Have a great day everyone.
