I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD with 11,000 miles on it. I traded in my 2015 which I loved. There's lots to like about the new model, however the transmission/engine combination is horrible. When cruising on the freeway and attempting to pass, there is a 3-4 second delay before the power kicks in...by the time it does I usually have the car I just pulled in front of flipping me the bird for pulling in front and sitting there way too long before pulling away.

I feel I made a terrible mistake trading in my 2015. I get better fuel ecoonomy but the driving experience is not enjoyable at all. I HATE it. Any feedback on fixing this via mods, factory upgrades, driving mode etc...is appreciated.

Also...I wanted crawl control but it wasn't available in Canada at the time, so I settled for the Tacoma without it. Another reason to regret doing the trade in.

Feeling very frustrated with the whole experience.
