Delete EGR?

    Considering my truck is so old and emissions is no longer a problem I was wondering if anyone has had success deleting the EGR system on a 2.7 with any success. Reason I ask is mine is acting up... I imagine it would be tricky to get around the insufficient EGR flow code....

    Why is emissions not an issue? I have a 1997 and it will not pass emissions if I remove my EGR.
    There have been some people that have removed the EGR.
    If I remember you have to install a resistor on one of the EGR wires to trick the ECU that it is there
    or you will get a check engine light
