Like I said... 200,000 mile engine... thanks for pointing out that the cooling system encompasses the engine too lmao

It would be a shitty car owner thing to pour the elixer in and never bother checking to see if coolant is in the oil or missing, after knowing you have a bad headgasket id assume looking at the dipstick and reservoir would be part of a routine

It's not liquid glass, it's a heat activated catalyst type powder suspended in some kind of inert liquid that seems to carry the unused portion pretty well out when drained. It is snake oil no doubt but so is putting in Red-line MT-90 in a trans. with shot synchro's. May stall a needed rebuild long enough to see it rot.

Like most things. Opinions are split 50/50.

This trucks not a bad one to fix right. FWD cars with a V6 are hell on the rear to get the head back together.

At least dodge made 4 holes in the cowl that allow you to take the pushrods out for the last 2 cylinders in the old diesels

If not that would have been a fun headgasket job

    :D

Jokes aside, most people who use this stuff are either shitty car owners and just assume it’s fixed permanently because that’s what it says on the bottle, or they just don’t care because they have a shitty car they don't really care if it actually gets fixed (people in this thread seem to be in the 2nd category).

"I bought it as-is/no warranty, now its got a problem, and I CAN'T BELIEVE the dealer won't help me out "

A gasket won't migrate to somewhere else and cause a blockage, like a heater core. Sure the stuff that's suspended might drain out but by the time you do that who's to say it hasn't already plugged something else up. As soon as you put it in the system it's going to get started plugging something up. Might not be in a desirable place.

not to mention the temp gauge

No, he should keep going. This thread is as great as stop leak in a bottle is for a motor.

That's not saying much. Poor tuning and over pushing kill drag engines everyday.
