May want to reword your first post. Do you really get 3 ropes for $60? Meaning $20 each or 3 ropes at $60 each.

Seems pretty clear that it is $60 per rope. The average person can't even buy this rope (without loops) for less that $5 a foot.

Kinetic recovery ropes are so expensive. These are a great deal.

Op I would consider changing the title to: Kinetic recovery ropes.

Back up to the top. I started working with nylon braid as well. This stuff stretches 85% more than the tow ropes! I'll have pictures up tomorrow. Basically, these can be added to the end of a tow rope to aid in recovery!

What's the pros and con on rope versus strap?

It really depends on what type of rope we're talking about. Generally speaking, people assume all rope is the same. Rope can actually consist of either double or single braid, polyester, dyneema, or vectran core. A double braid vectran core is going to have the most strength and little stretch, whereas a line made of polyester in the same diameter is going to have significant stretch but less strength. These tow ropes are made of the middle material, dyneema. They are advantageous because at 1/2 or 7/16 inch, they are EXTREMELY lightweight and can hold 21k anf 16k lbs respectively. They are easy to pack, easy to coil, can be run through snatch blocks, and can be piggybacked onto each other with relative ease. The downside to these ropes is that they are not kinetic. However, if you want a kinetic rope, I can make you a nylon braided extension and that will help with that. For example, you order a 20' tow tope and a 10' nylon extension--that gives you 30' of recovery rope and it has the same properties of a kinetic recovery rope.

The other plus is the price. This rope is NOT cheap by any means. I'm running a great deal for forum guys while supplies still last.

Straps on the other hand are all nylon/polyester so they are not strong for their size to strength ratio. You need a lot of strap to do the same job--so you end up with a lot of heavy strap to carry around to do the same job. Also, if you've ever worked in sand or mud, straps never seem to come clean. These ropes can be soaked in water and still wont weigh what a strap that's dry weighs.

Well these are all used for recovery.... a true "recovery rope" is going to stretch a lot so you can get a running start. That's best for a REALLY stuck vehicle in mud where straight pulling isnt working. These ropes can be used for just about any recovery. I am comfortable shock loading these no problem. You just won't get "help" like a kinetic rope will give you unless you add a nylon braided portion to it. If you're in the area any time, we can meet up and you can test out the different ropes! Just let me know.

I wouldn't necessarily say there are pros and cons, however, different "tools" or ropes depending on different situations :crapstorm: I have a tow rope (hooks at either ends), ARB strap and just got my Bubba Rope.
