What do you mean by true limited slip?

I mean that it's really Limited Slip inside the Diff. The newer second gens have simulated LS using the rear brakes.

    06. It was @Sub-Zero 's. He pulled the 8.4 and put in a complete E-locker housing.

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
For anyone looking for better traction without the spendy of a locker, this is good. I've got one (Auburn brand) with 4.56s, and I have as easy a time in Moab as those with a rear locker (tip: ride the brakes a little to make it act like a locker). Definitely way better than the stock open diff with fake LS.

It's either open diff, LSD (either geared or clutch based, (posi), or air or electric locker.
Auburn's a clutch based lsd, true posi, doesn't need the little bit of traction like a geared does. I personally prefer this over anything. As always LSD allows power to both rear wheels while not causing wheel hop while turning, cue welded diff screech music :bananadead:
    Auburn Clutch: https://www.justdifferentials.com/AG5420132-PRO-p/ag5420132-pro.htm

Eaton has a geared and clutch lsd. Geared requires some traction to work, which can be given using brakes. Never liked geared because its pretty much close to having an open diff, you still have to provide input, or somehow get grip for a sec. You can always brake an open diff and slowly do the same thing.
    Clutch: http://www.justdifferentials.com/EAT19614-p/eat19614.htm
    Geared: https://www.justdifferentials.com/TT913A541-p/tt913a541.htm

I believe after 09, A-TRAC was standardized. Just as you said open diff with simulated braking, so instead of you putting in the work, the truck does it 10x slower...

That's why I love my 07, factory clutch lsd. No fuss yet, but it does feel like the clutch pack is wearing out being its been driven hard. Will probably change for that Auburn very soon or maybe Eaton, don't know. Nice to know its working out well for you, helps me make the decision quicker lol

    Bump. Lowered price.

A big tree fell in the yard and took out our power lines.

Make me feel better about buying a new chainsaw... :D

Well admit now you've got me wanting to go out and see what rear I actually have. I hadn't been concerned about it yet as there's just so much else to do

If you have a '15 Sport, you have an open Diff.

Yep I know open biff and 3:73 gears just trying to find what diff size. This is all stuff I just haven't considered looking at yet.
