Drawers if you've got the money and rig is strictly used for whatever is kept in the drawers whether it be camping gear or tools.
Bins if you use it for multiple things as it's easy to remove everything when not needed. This is why all my camping gear is in bins . Also makes it easier to store around home

I’ve had ARB drawers in my last 2 trucks and ordered a new set for my new truck. One of the best mods you can do.

    Why not both?

I have a 6 foot drawer on the passenger side and bins on the driver side under my sleeping platform.

I have my fridge slide over the drawer. The propane tank is on the back of the slide. I can open the drawer, pull the stove out and put it on the open drawer and then pull out the fridge and connect the propane tank.
The bins have all the dry goods and pots and stuff. It’s easy to carry them to a campsite that might be a little further from the truck. I can also remove them and put scuba tanks in their place. Plus the drawer is the same dimension as two scuba tanks side by side.

When I had 2 drawers I felt like they got in the way a lot. You also lose your tail gate when both are open.

It’s easy to pull containers out to put dead animals in. Drawers, not so much.

I've used both. I've decided to be a weight weenie with this truck, so a platform doesn't fit the bill. Currently using containers stored on a custom shelf. In the winter I keep my chains in another box on the bed below the shelf. And I have a couple other boxes I take in and out as needed.

Thanks. It's a high density foam shop mat kit that I got from Harbor Freight. It came in two packages that I got for $18. Poor man's Bedrug

I went with cheap plastic bins and a bed mat to hold my biking gear. We plan on using the truck to haul stuff as well and wanted to keep the bed capacity the same as stock.

I'm going with a drawer system because I have OCD and I can be a bit more organized by a drawer system.

You bring up a really good point.

A lot of drawer systems are super heavy.

Op, if you build your own consider aluminum tube, sheet metal and rivets. My aluminum platform By itself is 55 pounds. The drawer is heavy. It’s from my previous platform that was 3/4” plywood. It was 175 pounds. Way to heavy.

My aluminum platform has survived thousands of off road miles.

Here is my set up. One full length drawer. Cut out on the right is where the cooler slides in. I also thrown my camp chairs and anything else that will fit behind the cooler, under the platform. The drawer dividers are fully customizable. Wired in my camp lights and a usb charger to the drawer as well. Topped with foam flooring for the doggo. Also easy to remove. Just unplug the switches and remove 2 mounting bolts and it slides right out.

I like the drawers because it keeps everything organized. Every piece of gear has a place. It’s a little heavy, but I’d sacrifice a little weight for the organization. My truck is heavy as is (see build for details).

Decked drawers for me. Weighs 200lbs but let’s you put almost anything weight wise on top of it. They claim 1 Ton capacity. Drawers are waterproof and lockable plus the nice thing it creates a total flat floor. BTW this is not my truck. I stole this pic from the Decked website. Though mine will be installed this weekend.

I’d say close to 125 lbs. it’s not bad. The heavy part is the slides. Those are like 60 lbs. which is why I only went with one drawer.

It’s heavy duty poster board with 1/8” steel rods that I cut and bent to slide in. I use wood dividers for the heavy stuff like stove and cookware. But the poster board is strong enough for clothes and smaller accessories.

Such a great idea. I was planning on routing a bunch of 1/4" channels and having drop in dividers but now I'm going to steal your idea instead!
