I like containers generally. Added weight with drawers.

I have had a Decked System installed in my taco since November. I really love it! Now that spring hunting and summer camping seasons are around the corner I am going to start playing around some more with dividers. I like the freedom to leave right from work on a Friday and go camp, or leave work a hair early during the week and hit a creek to fly fish so I keep most of my kit with me at all times in the drawers.

I also have a camper shell on order (should be installed in a few weeks) and that should help my organization a bit as well.

@YOTA 4X4 and @FlyFisherCJ any issues organizing your gear or gaining access to the gear with reports that the drawers don't roll out the full length? My concern is easy access to stuff stored in the back sections of the drawers, i'm unsure of how much drawer space is left covered. Also how did you over come losing access to your 120VAC plug on the right side of the bed? I know it's still visible but with the cover installed does it rotate enough to get a plug in there?
    Thanks

Drawers all day! here is my old DIY system. It was a beast, weighted around 125 lbs. it worked great but I tore it out and am building V2.0. I have set up a build thread for yall to follow along!

About 1/5th of the drawer stays covered. I just put things I don't use that often farthest back. But there are still very accessible. As far as organizing, a lot of my stuff is in small gear bags to grab and go. When I start organizing for camping I will put in a few dividers to keep smaller stuff organized and visual at a glance. As for the 120VAC plug, I haven't done it yet, but Decked mentions running a small pigtail to the far right Ammo Can (the not waterproof boxes) by drilling a hole and putting the pig tail in there. That way you just pop the lid and you have access to the plug. When my camper shell is installed, I am going to run a small power strip from the 120VAC plug and mount it out of the way by the drawer so I can charge stuff while I am going down the road. I will be posting pictures on TW when is start adding to it!

I had some unique challenges. Solar storage, existing bedslide, large fridge. So I made a platform that was notched for fridge that sits on the slider. under the platform theres storage for chains on the bedslide. Solar is all the way in the back by the cab IMG_4977.jpg IMG_5268.jpg

Also, Trekpak makes really nice divider organization. I use it for my lighting in a Pelican 1615 case and my backpack

For regular truck gear I leave in my toolbox. Straps, spare parts, hi lift, ropes, tie downs, extra air compressor.
Camping gear I leave in a husky tote box and throw random crap in another like bags and pillows. One is dedicated to camping gear only.

Waterproof containers under the factory tonneau cover because I live on Guam. It's either raining and cloudy, raining and sunny, or about to rain pretty much year round.
