    The Napa ones have a lifetime warranty, don't they? Why not take it in and get a replacement so that the purchaser gets a brand new one? Probably a better chance of selling it that way.

    Hmm. I would go back and try again. If the same statement is given, I'd ask to speak to a manager.

    AutoZone will take down your phone number for warranty purposes. While I haven't bought anything from Napa in years, that's only because there aren't any located near me. I do prefer them over other stores.

    Regardless, you shouldn't need a receipt to exchange something with a lifetime warranty. The manager should be able to get you taken care of. If that also fails, you can contact Cardone. They are the actual manufacturer of the axle anyway. Napa is just the reseller.
