She's probably not lying to you. Mot dealerships only work with a skeleton crew on the weekends, and as an example, the ones near me only do very basic service on the weekends like oil changes, etc. I wouldn't expect a dealership to do this for you if you just stopped in without an appointment.

I just dont think she felt like writing it up. as there was no one there. it was dead. She started asking me what kind of issues do I have that i want the TSB and then wanted to look my service history. Like WTF its a TSB that toyota put out to have done. I had my trans fluid checked on a sat there back at 500miles. Just think she didnt feel like doing the write up. Cause she said the time for it was .4 so little under 30min of time

It's a TSB, not a recall so it will only be done to those that exhibit the symptoms as outlined in the write up. So far my service manager has been comfortable with my word, if I say it does something, he believes me and does what he can to fix it. I'm very specific with the conditions and description so they know what I want them to look for. I'm dropping mine off the night before so they can play with the truck with the transmission cold or warm. If they don't think it needs to be done then fine, I have 5 other dealers in my area that would be willing to accept my future business.

For those of you that had it done is the sticker under the hood as outlined in the TSB? Noticed in another post the person when asked checked and told everyone it was not there on there truck

my vin isn't listed. the cruise control issue is present though. it stays in 4th forever after downshifting and theres a clunking noise when going from drive to park obviously once completely stopped. my 1st to 2nd isn't harsh but 2nd to 3rd is harsh

You don't have a V6 so this TSB doesn't apply to you. There may be one for the 4 banger later if this satisfies people's complaints on the V6 AT.

I would think this also because not every Tacoma owner creeps the pages of Tacoma World. It will probably be on the Toyota web site ... Owners link.... on the recalls, I would think. Probably to early yet like you said.

I believe the drawing shows the sticker to be placed under that plastic motor cover...NOT... the hood... That's what it looks like to me..

Interesting to see some of the people who said they had no issues and no complaints with their truck now showing interest in the TSB to resolve the poor transmission performance. Hmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah, most likely the same fanboys who gave us crap for having issues with the transmission back before it became an epidemic. I bet all of a sudden everyone will start complaining of transmission issues in hopes of being able to get the TSB.

Is this little swipe aimed at me?

I said I want to see if it improves the performance of D mode while driving around the city... right now I use S4 but if it improves overall drivability, why not try it out.

You're not that special, although you probably think everyone who disagrees with you on this site in any way is out to get you. Paranoid much?

    Nope.... conscience is crystal clear.

I've said all along I've been happy using S4 or S5 on the interstate when I want the truck to drive more sporty and stay out of the OD gears and D when I can deal with the lugging and don't want to think for the truck and save gas. If the flash improves D performance in the lower speeds, great, if not, I still use the same method I've been using in the past. No special appointment to get it in, truck was already going in to get the plugs installed anyway.

    No complaints here.

Only thing I don't like is how the truck shifts going up a slight incline with the cruise control set. I have to remind myself this is not the V6, 2015 Colorado I traded off for a 4 cylinder Tacoma. Especially when I pull out to pass someone with oncoming traffic within eye sight range.
