@erict14 i am in the exact same boat. Just picked up a new 17 cement pro all stock only had 3700 miles. Looking to add a lift. I had my eye on the toytec 2” level but I like the idea of a AAL instead of a block.

@BrewDrew nice man, welcome to the '17 Cement TRD club!

From what I've read, everyone seems to agree the AAL is the way to go instead of blocks. Where I'm still a bit confused is some are saying the Revtek provides a much stiffer ride and some have changed out in favor of spacers... but isn't the Revtek essentially offering spacers in the front as well? Not sure what the difference would be with other spacers over the ones in the Revtek 427AP.

I believe others are using top plate spacers instead of the revtek. The revtek spacers require you to preload the coils which in turn give you a stiffer ride up front? I’ve been looking into this set up for a while, and would love to find out which is the better option. I’m leaning toward the top plate spacers myself, but I get so many contradictory opinions reading through other posts...

@Grangis904 yup, 100% in the same boat. TW is great with info, but sometimes too much or overwhelming. Do you have a specific top plate spacers and AAL you are looking at and possibly link to?

Lol, I don’t man, I tend to run myself in circles trying to figure it out though this forum. I love all of the info everyone gives on here, but like you said it can get overwhelming trying to process it all. To be honest I’ve kinda been waiting for this forum to help come up with the perfect solution but what’s perfect for one may not be for another.

Hey guys, I wanted to chime in because I am also considering on lifting my TRD PRO. Mainly because I feel like even after going up in tire size Im not 100% happy with the look, and the rake is starting to get to me. My last Taco I had the 5100's with the Toytec AAL and I was very happy with the ride even though I had a very slight rub on full turn. I like the AAL because I can add extra weight in the back and can add a cap if I decide to. Im just not certain on what to do with the shocks. I was hoping to keep the fox suspension and just maybe add a larger spring in the front but now what I am thinking about it would it be possible to AAL in the rear and extend the rear shocks?

FWIW I think your truck looks pretty good. I'm in the same boat. Want to keep my Fox suspension but need a bit more lift to get 285s on without rubbing.

I'm running Falken Wildpeak 265/75 16. Stock tires were horrible and I tried the duratacs which I had on my last truck but was really stiff. The Falkens are okay and I like the way they look but not as aggressive as I'm used to with previous tires. If I lift the truck I'll probably go back to the Goodyears

Frankybones I think your truck looks good as it is, I have a Leer cap and adding a Prinsu rack to it. With that and the gear (awning, dog crate Misc. etc) I probably have a constant 300lbs of additional weight and up to 600 when loaded for Hunting / camping trips. I notice a slight sag at its regular load so getting an Icon 3 Leaf add a leaf added with Timbren ABSTRFK Active off road bump stop with U bolt flip kit. This should hopefully give me more weight capacity less sag , correct rake and overall better ride.

I had it loaded for my last trip and it was sagging and I load my trucks usually for trips plus bike racks and everything else in the summer time when we do out family trips, camping etc. Most likely will get a cap as well. My last truck I had a AAL from toytec that pretty much did what I needed and 5100 all the way around and couldn't be happier with the ride. So I'm looking for looks and function. Not major offroading but some on occasion to get where I need to go.

What will you do up front? I am assuming this is all for the rear?

Going to leave the front as is , I bought the Pro because I Didn't want to mess with to much and its almost set up the way I want it, I just need more weight capacity for what I carry and how I use the truck. I probably over researched this but finally found a great shop with super Knowledgeable guys and they help put together this set up for me , I will be getting it done in a couple weeks so I can let you know. I could have probably gone without the Timbren but its cheaper to do when the rear is already apart. Last fall I spent a week in the southern part of my province Pheasant hunting, two people three dogs and gear and about 1500km of oil lease/ farm and gravel roads then another 2000 km of highway to and from, although it wasn't terrible I could definitely tell it needed improvement in the rear.

@daltondrose after a couple of months with the Revtek setup, how are you liking it? I've heard some say the ride is much stiffer while I've also heard a lot say there was no difference. Just curious since you've had your set up since November how you're liking it.

What’s the minimum rim width for a 285/75r16? And what’s ours? Just curious.

Totally helps. That's the perfect stance for our Pros. Nice work! I think I'm going that way soon.
