China is a developing country quickly over running their power plants but they are leading the US by a land slide in alternative energy and have far more stringent emission standards in any thing new (cars power plants etc.) the we do. The US is sitting on their thumbs while China is building wind and solar and we can’t seem to grasp that. If they are the worlds leader in emissions does that mean we need to catch up?

    Look at build!

Thats how mine are done, just un-bolted, gutted then bolted back up, and it has no chan ge in sound at idle or when revviong but sounds awesome when going down the road. i have a few vdeos around here somehwere, but mine is also dumped over the axle.

The only problem is the stupid o2 sensor CEL, which my second cat was already clogged so i gutted it then decided to do the bank 1 cat, and as for BP i put one of those tips from wallyworld with the roled ends and some sort of resonator crap in it and it helped out alot.

I will order the URD sim asap to get rid of the CEl which to me is the more reasonable thing to do as to paying 200+ on a new cat and or sensor!

Yes they are a developing country and yes we do need to get our act together for alternative energy but when we start making laws so that people cant do what they want to the vehicles that they buy with their own money, is the day many will become outlaws. but hey i was just making a point. We are 2nd in the world for emissions. However if Will wants to get rid of his cats then people shouldnt give him a hard time about emissions, it is HIS truck that HE paid for.
I have no idea how other people would feel. I still feel great.

BS! China doesnt follow any rules when it come to emissions. A little example:

Yes. They regularly openly burn trash, plastic, and otehr toxic shiot. The reason they are building Wind farms, Solar power plants, etc., is because they are growing faster than their electrical grid can keep up. And if you have seen the vehicles that run around in areas that have no emissions, you would see that a Tacoma running no cats makes very little impact on anything. For that matter, if you think vehicles in general impact this planet in any degree, but a fraction of a decimal, you need to look at other, more poluting things. Like the Ocean, for example. Check out how much Methane is spewed from our own beloved blue oceans in one day.

exactly, and i have one other thing to say in addition, if some of yall have problems with emissions, why dont yall just walk or ride a bike around? how bout car pooling? or public transit(if possible)?

I'm not saying I have a problem with emissions, but walking, riding a bike, carpooling & public transit are not feasible for a lot of people. I feel the majority of people that are capable of using those modes of transportation do so, but the fact is, that doesn't work for a majority of people.

I think we can all agree that both the US and China, along with all other developing nations can do better with trash, pollution, alternative energy, etc.

I disagree. IT is feasible for more people then that use any of those modes and those people are like alot of us, they DONT care about the emissions they create.

Well i had a CEL for the cat before hand (PO420) so i went ahead and gutted the rear cat as appose to replacing cause..well.. their expensive, and later decided to dump the tip over the axle and while i was at it i went ahead an gutted the first cat and yes it is the stock muffler, but i assure you it doesnt sound poppy and raspy like that one video. I will have to see if i can get someone to ride beside me and record it so you can hear what it sounds like goin down the road and gettin on it.

I gutted my cat, installed a new front O2 sensor and installed an O2 simulator from URD. There are two differences that I noticed. The empty cat is right below the pass. side floor board. It's a little noisy. Not real bad I'm just not used to it. The other thing is when I shift gears. My truck doesn't lose as many Rpms between shifts. The motor picks up faster when I get on the gas. No CEL has came on. I drove the truck to superlift in hot springs and it got 11 mpg! Before I did this. I'm hoping to improve that. Im out of town working right now so I don't have any solid numbers for ya. I don't believe you lose any top end or low end, that's bs. I'll get back with ya when I get some real numbers.

No lead footin! Drove less then 75 the whole trip. It has alot of extra weight in armor, winch and I had it loaded with camping gear. But it should still get better then 11. That's what made me decide to try this. Jury is still out right now.

Mine is usually around 19/20 in the summer......but I've been running a lower pressure in my tires since they are cupped to shit. Makes the ride a bit smoother....at lil mileage expense.
