    Hello,

I'll be picking up my new 2015 from the dealer in the next few days. Tried a quick search and couldn't come across anything. Wondering if there is anything in particular I should look for when doing the delivery inspection before signing. I know from visiting other truck forums they typically have a list of things to look for, mind you these are not Toyota truck forums. Any obvious things I should know about or check for? Thanks!

Walk around it a few times and give the exterior body a thorough look top to bottom, some people have found dings and scratches from transport. Better to catch those before taking the keys, then have it noted and schedule a fix with the dealer.

Make sure everything (if anything) you ordered/added to the truck is there. This isn't too bad, since as long as it's written in the order you can go back and say you didn't get it. Little things like the brake controller pigtail, 7-to-4 pin trailer plug adapter, bed cleats, etc.

Other than that, look forward to driving and awesome truck!

Have stealer remove any stickers or license plate brackets that they affixed to the rear.

I know usually there's a box with some stuff in in. I've never had a truck and I'm mechanically useless so excuse my stupidity please. I know the trailer ball should be there, are there only two cables (trailer brake controller and the plug adapter)?

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. I meant trailer hitch, I assumed a truck with a trailering package would come with a hitch?

Make sure you look at the wheels, 2 of mine were damaged and had to be replaced, I didn't notice at the dealership but when I got home.

The receiver bolted to the frame? Yes. The thing that goes IN the receiver? Not unless you bought the Toyota accessory.

If you tell us everything you paid for (packages, accessories, random extras) we can tell you what to look for.

And like @McTeague said, before the dealership gets squirrelly and drills holes in your front bumper, tell them that you'll have a bracket installed by the time your front plates come in. If your state even requires front plates.

This is exactly why I came to this forum :) Thank you, I'd have been asking for the hitch lol. It's a TRD sport premium with trail teams package. Other than the items the trail teams sport package comes with the only other things are block heater and hood deflector. The province I'm in requires a front plate.

I believe the dealer has had the truck since September, would flat spots in the tire's be immediately noticeable when driving it?

If they're bad, you'll feel it when you drive.

Ah, the Trail Teams package. Yea, just make sure everything listed on the package description shows up on the truck. I'm not sure what the factory block heaters look like, but Google should know.

With it being brand new, I wouldn't worry about much except inspecting the exterior (including wheels) for damage it may have taken in delivery or while being on the lot.

If it is an Auto, have them put it in the shop at temp and check the tranny fluid level. Most dealers don't do this and it is a bit of a PITA to check yourself unless you have a scan gauge.
