Dell or HP

I have been real happy with dell inspiron laptops, thinking of an HP now,,what do yall think stck with dell or go with HP?

 

stick with DELL..HP not good brand.

i'm keen to dell. everyone ive had has been good, desktop and laptops both.

X 328645. i've worked with pc's forever, switched to a MAC a few months ago and i freakin love it!! so i guess to answer your question... neither?

 

I use HP and never had any problem with it!

 

dell has always been my first choice for personal and work.

 

I'm a Mac guy...but I'd go Dell if you want a PC.

 

MAC if you have the money. Sony VAIO's are pretty badass too.

 

I had a dell what a Piece of Crap (thats what PC stands for) it was. So now I use MACs and never ever have had a problem, except for a faulty surge protector.

 

dell and hp will both use parts of similar quality (read: cheap generic ones) but id go dell over hp. hp loads up their computers with tons of unnecessary programs and other crap which will eventually slow it down. dell offers better customer service and gives you better recovery tools if you ever need them.

macs arent bad (as much as i hate to admit it) but they tend to be about 2x the price for a similarly configured computer. if you just need a laptop for basics like email, internet and word processing, you may consider a mac. if you play games or use most professional design software, pc it is.

if you can live with a desktop over a laptop, go that route as it will be much cheaper and a lot more powerful. i used to build computers and its really not that complicated if you want to try building one yourself to save even more

 

I bought a Sony VAIO (a gift for someone) and it was $500 more then my mac (both laptops) and had less everything. only up thing to it was that it had HDMI, which I would never use.

 

then why did you buy it? sounds like a dumb move on your part shoulda just bought a MAC if it was cheaper. both make nice laptops tho

 

As I said it was a gift for my Troop. Its what they wanted. Because they only have software for PCs.

 

F**k windows.......APPLE is the ONLY way.

 

Dell would be my first choice. Been using them for years. Have not let me down either at work or home. HP is OK, but lots of bloatware.

Thanks all. My wife wants a laptop so that leaves apple out of the consideration due to price. Maybe I will stick with Dell that adaware crap that some mentioned about HP is something she doesn't need to deal with..
