I'll probably find someone on craigslist to do it. Those guys that advertise 35 years of experience without the big shop prices. I mean if it's a cheap paint job for $150, it can't be worst than a rattlecan job that I do myself and might be as good as maaco cheap paint :notsure:

Yeah, just make sure they match paint codes so you know you will get a good match.

Did that brushed aluminum vinyl match at all?

Yeah I will definitely make sure paint codes match before anything. Don't want another camper incident.
And not at all. Like you warned, it's too... aluminumy surprising enough

No metallic sharpie colored hoods!! haha

Ohwell, i guess paint will be a better long lasting option over vinyl.

You could do the vinyl yourself.. doing just the hood couldn't be that hard.

Ha not for me, but I agree i believe the hood would be the easiest part to wrap.

The paint won't be an exact match even with the code, remember the sun has been slowly fading the paint ever since it was made

Yeah the hood is the easiest part to wrap I would say which is why I am thinking if I am going to spend money on a hood, might as well just go all out haha but probably will just do paint.. I didn't even think of the sun

Eh, the sun cant be that bad. There will definitely be a difference but I don't think it will be very noticeable.

A paint shop matched a 1990 Toyota pickup fender for me and it looks the same, you would have to try hard to find a difference.

You could try it yourself 5 times before you add up Tue that price according to how much that one guy paid. I say try it yourself.

Yeah I'll go that route. And with summer coming around I'll have time. Time to call around about mixing some rattle cans for me!

I meant it isn't going to 100.00% perfect, but you won't tell the difference unless you're OCD. But I'd say try it yourself, if you don't like it spend the coin

    Agreed

I was originally. But I ended up with an aero 2525xl. Sounds great to me, loud when you're stepping in the gas and soft when your crusing.

Either the 14" or the 18". There seems to be somewhat of a difference of opinion on the two. The model numbers are #11255 or 11225. Just trying to make sure I order the right one you know? Haha can only install once. Here is a sound clip of Box Rocket's magnaflow. It is the exact sound I'm looking for. He has an 18". https://youtu.be/jYwav8H8gIE

I've heard good things about the 18" magnaflow! I say go for it.
