Just got off the phone w a dealer that was slow to get back to me on pricing. (Jerry's Toyota) according to them there are only 11 trd off roads in existence w the non jbl tech package. He hyped up that the prices that they are pushing will stick even past the end of the model year and will only go up. What are these guys smoking? Toyota is a manufacturing power house that will be shitting these things out all day every day in two factories. It's a commodity truck ffs! Let's see if he beats my last two but I think he got a little upset when I repeated the latest economic indicators. Dude tried to claim that Toyota will not be allocating any trd off roads w the premium and tech package to the entire mid Atlantic. But at least i have them fighting over numbers now.

With a vehicle that's as popular as the Taco...that's what you get. You've got a "new" version coming out with some PR stir and fairly cheap gas prices....not a good combo. Demand will outpace supply in the short term.

One reason I will wait till spring/summer before buying.
Just out of curiosity i tried a few times to look at a Colorado z71 and all the different dealers had were the WT. Any Z71 came in was already sold.

I'm also having issues ordering a dclb off road, premium tech JBL. I'm in Michigan, dealer says none are allocated here. They are working on getting a "swap" from another region, but seems unlikely. They said long beds were available in sport, but not off road? Dealer also says that "new" allocations with different build types open up twice a month, and he's confident a long bed option will be available within a month....this uncertainty sucks.

Keep after it. DCLB OR is among the hardest to get models if those other sheets floating around apply nationwide and not just to CA - I think DCLB OR is like 1% of total builds. HH / FP some portion of that. So, he's not BS'ing you that they are a hard to find model but they are being built. But we are probably getting them all out here in CO where it seems like every other Taco is an OR - and the LB OR is a a new offering if I recall - previously only SB. You might have better luck on a DCLB Sport - if the crawl control and OR shocks are not important to you and you don't mind (or like) the hood scoop.

In my search on cars.com for a specific 2015 model a few dealers were already listing 2016s on the lot.
No pictures so I assume it was their allocation?

My ACLB Offroad with tech (non-JBL) had to be allocated from a dealer 500+ miles away.

Dcsb, trd or with non jbl coming to ny for me, and my dealer had several of different colors allocated. Sounds like that guy was either ignorant or a scumbag.
