I picked up a new Tacoma and then immediately called Jason at Demello. Actually called him before I bought the truck... ;) Jason is a good friend and has help me build other trucks, so the choice of who's products would go on my truck was easy for me. He needed access to a 2013 and I needed some bumpers and sliders. Here is where we are thus far... sliders and rear bumper progress. The front will be a single hoop front bumper.

Hybrid sliders powder-coated in wrinkle-finish black...

Base of the rear high clearance bumper started... will be adding a swingout tire carrier, hitch and led backup lights...

Nice. Are you getting a front plate bumper from them too? Also, are you gonna relocate your backup camera?

Thanks! Yes on the front plate bumper. I will probably relocate the backup camera to somewhere on the bumper or in the center of the spare tire. Not to worried about the backup camera... I will find a home for it. :)

I cant wait to see what they do for a front bumper. I wasn't feeling Demellos first try in that other thread.
Shape and style was great, but I didn't like the fit.

I've always liked the lines on Jason's bumpers. I'll make sure to post plenty of pictures from all angles.

looks amazing so far. are they going to do a standard demello 2nd gen front or are they going to do a more 12-13 centric design?

Thanks... No I do not plan on selling the FJC. I'm planning some upgrades to the suspension this summer. I love this thing too much to sell it.

Swing-out progress... I won't be adding a bunch of stuff (jerry cans, bike racks, kitchen sink, etc.) to the swing-out. At most I will add a hi-lift, but I'll use clamps to mount it. I told Jason I wanted a simple clean carrier with only the tire mounted. I also wanted the tire mounted lower. This truck won't see any hard trails... mainly fire roads to get to a favorite fishing spot... or to a great MTB trail. Later on down the road I can always add tabs, brackets or mounting points at home to accommodate stuff.

Thanks! I really like your Tacoma. Looked through your posts many times to get ideas. This rig will be a bit different... more of an expedition style. The FJC will always be my crawler.

Looking great. Have you thought about adding a small flange or some other guard to protect the lights?

I assume you're talking about the backup lights down low in the bumper? Hadn't thought of it, but that's a good idea.
